It's Android vs iOS. Apple app store wins by a big margin, but you may find what you need with Android. Android tablets are more buggy and the software lags compared to iOS on the iPad 2. Every review I've read, and there are many, the iPad 2 wins hands down. The best Android tablet is supposedly the Asus Transformer Prime which is being released tomorrow. All that really matters is does the one you bought suit your needs and do what you want it to do.

Strong reply is that you bought an inferior product.. Why would you get a 7 inch screen? Obviously due the the pricing. Might as well just bought the Samsung galaxy S II and have phone calling capabilities as well.

Ipad 2 over that thing anyday.. Flash player or not.

Except dollar for dollar Apple wins in the tablet market. As I said, if what you bought suits your needs there is nothing wrong with it at all. You asked what people thought of it compared to the iPad 2. Also, did you look at the Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet? They are 199 and 249.

If your wife is happy with the Nook and you're happy with the Galaxy then the iPad doesn't matter. And you have two tablets instead of one. Now you don't have to share.

You already made the purchase.. Always bad juju to check if a deal is a smart one after the fact.

If you have read the many reviews of the kindle fire you know the reviews have been "fair" at best. One of the main complaints is that the seven inch screen is too small to read for normal web pages so you will probably have to opt for the mobile web pages instead which are not much better than the 4/5 inch screens. The Samsung is better than the Kindle: At least you have a mic and camera so you can do SKYPE and what-not. I would put the Samsung as the best seven inch option at this point - if Kindle fire sales enough then web content will be forced to accommodate for your screen size but do not count on it.. The Ipad rules and it has dictated 10 inches.

A couple of things Android does better: If you bought the unit to play movies on an airplane you will find it much easier to play different formats.. I've had much better luck with the various Bluetooth appliances on the Android tablets.
