Hi guys! Merry Christmas

I have a question: My fiance come to USA with a K-1 in Sept. 29 and the I-94 expires Dec 28. We get married this last Friday. An officer in the POE told my husband to call ICE when marriage occurs. Is obligatory call USCIS to inform we are married if we don't apply for AOS before the expiration day? Someone can tell me? Thanks!

I think you he may have misunderstood. You don't have to call USCIS once you have married but I would recommend filing for AOS ASAP after getting married and as close as possible after the I-94 expires, if not possible before that date. There is no problem filing AOS after the I-94 expires but the longer you wait, the more potential there is for problems to occur (inconveniences, not AOS eligibility consequences).

Congrats and good luck!

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

ICE could careless about your marriage.

File AOS after your marriage when you have everything ready to send in.
