If you guys saw my other thread in the OT section. Do you think if I made an appointment and layed out my story with proof that I am here on an overstayed visa since 10 years old theres a chance they will offer me some sort of visa/path to permanent residency or will they flat out tell me to leave? I am contemplating on doing this as a final chance effort before I leave.

That is what they will tell you. While the circumstances of you coming here was legal, you are now out of status and as such are "persona no grata". You will be told to leave.

So if I were to hypothetically go to an INS office and tell them I am illegal, will I be deported right away or would I be detained and wait to see a judge? When deported, where do they drop you off? Right at the border? Capital of the country? City of birth?

It is most likely that you would be detained and put before a judge because the judge needs to order the deportation. I know from someone else's experience (ex-wife of a friend) that they put you on the next plane out of the country that takes you where you're legally allowed to be. She is a UK citizen but she's from Scotland so they could have dumped her anywhere in the EU but she got lucky and only went to London.

Your best bet is to see your consulate for an emergency passport. If you can't afford the flight I *think* they'll help you out... but I couldn't tell you for sure.

If you were still in legal status you could apply for an extension. If you were married to a USC you could AOS. But as it's just you there is nothing you can do to stay legally. By all means ask, but you'd be putting yourself on the radar.

There is nothing they can offer you as a path for a permanent residency. They enforce the immigration laws. You are on this site and can peruse all the visa types and see if you qualify for any of them. From what you have told us so far you do not.

And this is NOT something you want. I had an employee of mine that had a warrant and was arrested leaving the USA in Raleigh, North Carolina. CBP picked him up when he was at the gate to board his international flight and was subsecquently taken to the Meclenburg Jail in North Carolina. This is a detention center for illegal immigrants awaitsing removal proceedings.

This was a bad place and there was nothing I could do for him until he was extradited back here to Ohio. He spent 3 weeks there before going in front of a judge and told me the conditions there were not good.

My advice is to contact the Canadian Embassy, arrange your transportation back to Canada and start a life. Awaiting removal in a detention center is not something you want to do.

Please tell me what an "infopass" is.

Thanks for clarifying that. If you are deported do you get banned for "x" amount of years?

You wiill face a 10 year ban due to the amount of time you overstayed the visa that you enetered on.

Additionally, even if you served out the ban - CBP could deny your entry in the future for any reason they deem pertinent.

Yeah I figured that.. Why the hell would I want to get myself detained when I done nothing wrong morally to anyone.. Just leave on my own and try to find another way to comeback and be a citizen in the future. The headaches and migraines I've compiled these past few weeks is overwhelming

Contact a church or mosque in Canada to help assist you in re-locating back. There are agencies in Countries that will assist you. All is not lost.

It's amazing how these things have a way of catching up with you and causing the anxiety you now face. It sucks that your parents put you in this position when you were a child, but unfortunately you will pay for their actions.

I give you some credit for realizing that you're out of options here and that you've accepted the inevitibility of your prediciment. You can never have a driver's license, enroll in a university or have any normal life here due to being out of status.

I highly recommend you contact the Canadian Embassy, lay it all out on the table and allow them to assist you as one of their citizens. The short term will suck, but being in Canada legally is much better than having to look over your shoulder here illegally.

And, you get free healthcare and a guaranteed pension in the great white north. Besides, the beer isn't that bad either.
