so let me get this straight .. you had originally filed K1 but withdrew it and decided to marry so your applying cr1/ir1 visa and had teh interview on oct 13th... ap is pending but now you want to move to dubai and continue the ap process? Not sure what the answer is to that.. i mean i know you can request your passport back but your ap will lengthen due to you living in dubai and may need a police report from there when you finish ap not sure actually.. hopefully smbody else can help you with this informatin but i just wanted to clarify what you were saying. Best of luck to you..

You can request your passport back and they will issue it to you. Not sure how to go about notifying the right individuals of your job relocation.. maybe call the embassy and ask for a consular officer to explain the situation (if you can get thru) or send them a certified letter explaining clearly your job.. have your employment company write a letter saying they have hired you and you will work for x company for x amount of money living in this area of dubai. I mean they have to understand that your doing what you can to continue your career after the interview and when you get the visa you will be moving with your wife. Just not sure what the right procedure would be. But good luck and i pray it all works out for you!

I am trying to google and want to find out what are official worlds about moving out of country while in admin process.

If they have to put case in admin process why don't they return passport why they always keep it ?

You can call or email the embassy and ask them to return your passport. I am not sure if they can transfer your case to another embassy while it is in AP. You might have to come back to Pakistan when the visa is ready to be issued.

Yep, ask for the passport back, notify them (in writing) of your new address and inquire if they can transfer the case to the embassy there. It should not affect your AP unless more than about 6 months passes, then they may want new or refreshed information. Don't put your life on hold waiting for them to finish because no one knows how long it will take.

Please let me know if they ever returned your passport. I am trying to get my husbands back but they won't give it to him. We were going to move to Dubai until the AP is sorted out.

Earlier when i had the k1 my passport got expire, i told them to send me for reniewl and they sent to me.

This time didn't got the response yet, normally it takes 2 weeks.

Have him go to Embassy and request in person if possible and or send Fex Ex with return postage requesting it.

how to get Immigration Officer on the Telephone, in Islamabad? (I not mean a pakistani clerk, either)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
