Hi let me start first by explaning my situation.

I am living in India but i am married to a USC (my wife) who lives and works in US.

my wife has filed my immigration visa (CR1) for me. But thats not why i am here.

My sister who is currently on a work permit in UK wants to visit my wife in the US for a week or two.

So what is the proces ?

I read somewhere that my sister can only apply for US tourist visa in India since she is Indian citizen. Is this true ?

What kind of letter can my wife send ? can someone give a example of invitation letter ?

Also will my wife have to provide a Affidavit of support ?

My sister says she can finiance her trip herself.

Any help is appricated.

Thanks in advance.

Your sister can apply for tourist visa in UK since she is considered resident in UK(work Permit) if she as in UK on tourist Visa then she would not be able to apply from UK.

Your wife can send a letter, but thats not a required and having it would not hurt either.

Your sister will need a letter from her employeer with something like she is going on vaccation for week or and she would be returning to UK to continue her job.

Also your sister can take her bank statement showing she has enough funds to cover the trip, she can also take her appt lease which should show she still has time left on lease etc.
