I filed on Nov 7. 2011 and recieved NOA1 on Nov 10. 2011 I wanted to ask if I should be concerned where it says my fiance's country of birth, it states UNKNOWN. Should i be concerned about this? They have her name and date of birth correct and in the packet we included every page of her two passports, Espanol and Venezuelan passport. Also on the papers we filled out she stated her birth and current residence as Venezuela. Any comments of how other are would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just checked again on my saved file of her G-325a form that we submitted, and in the box of City and Country of birth is filled in along with her parents birth places. It just made me a little concerned that it would cause a hiccup later on since on the receipt it said unknown. It shouldn't hopefully since we have the G-325a form stating her birth place from venezuela and her passports. Does anyone else's on the I-797C list their beneficiaries country of birth as UNKNOWN or is it listed? Thanks

My husbands date of birth was printed wrong on our noa1 but we didn't bother changing it and that was fine. When we got the noa2 they had it right on there. You shouldn't need the noa1 for anything anyway, just the noa2 for AOS

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

You could always call and put in a service request. My NOA1 had an error and a service request was filed. Just be sure to check other documents afteward to be sure the correction was made. If not you can call again and they will note to have it corrected. It probably would be better to have them correct this now to avoid any delays later :) hoping the best in your journey...

Means nothing. But it will probably stay that way even on her green cards, don't stress.

I did three of these for my wife and two sons, one of the boys papers (he was a K2 to follow and had separate AOS and RoC filings) said "unknown" even though he filed all the same paperwork as my wife and other son. His green card also say "unknown"

makes no difference.
