how long does it take to get NOA1?

hii, i sent the i129f on dec 12th 2011..but still havent got any email or anything from them...so i was wondering tht how long does it take?

Our i130 was sent to the lockbox on 11/28. I received our receipt 12/9 with a priority date of 12/5

USCIS - CSC/LOCAL OFFICE DC

12/5/11: NOA1

4/25/12: Case Transferred to Local Office (DC) for "Additional Processing"

4/27/12: Case Received at Local Office

5/15/12: RFE (daughter's birth cert)

5/15/12: RFE Evidence Sent (never received)

8/10/12: Infopass, evidence handed to officer adjudicating case

8/13/12: NOA2

NVC

8/20/12: Case Received

8/31/12: Case #/IIN Received

8/31/12: DS3032 Sent

9/11/12: ERROR MESSAGE! biggrin.png

9/13/12: AOS and IV bill INVOICED, Made AOS and IV bill payments, Mailed AOS and IV paperwork via USPS Priority Mail

9/14/12: AOS/IV marked as PAID

9/17/12: AOS delivered

9/20/12: IV delivered

9/25/12: AOS reviewed/accepted

9/26/12: IV reviewed/accepted

9/26/12: CASE COMPLETE11/27/12: Received Interview Date

01/11/13: Interview in San Salvador

03/15/13: 2nd Interview in SNS due to delayed medical report

I-601

3/21/13: Mailed to lockbox

3/22/13: Received at lockbox

9/25/13: APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont worry it takes them anywhere from 5-10 days, they need to look through your paperwork to make sure it was filled out all the way. This is the easiest part, the real wait starts from the NOA1 to the NOA2.

Hello and welcome to the forum from another newbie.

You sent your I-129F packet to Texas last Saturday, assuming via US Mail, from your undisclosed location. It may take a little longer than usual, as that next to the income tax filing time in April, this time of year is very busy at the US Postal Service with holiday season mail, etc., and that could likely delay delivery to the USCIS dropbox.

I mailed my petition packet (certified, return receipt requested) from the Seattle area to the Dallas dropbox on 24 October and was received by USCIS on 27 October.

Hopefully, you will receive your email notification in the next week, the official NOA1 will take longer due to the same holiday season mail delays. Then, the real wait begins......

i have seen it take up to like 3 week but 5-10 days is probably about average. get used to things taking longer than you think though :)

I was told the same thing about the Holidays and it makes sense because this is when a lot goes on the mail. I sent mines on November 25, right after turkey day and have not got anything back nor have they cashed the check ..so just hold on and like everyone said, this is nothing for the months that lie ahead.. :whistle:
