All i know about atlanta is that i hear the employees arent that great or knowledgable. Also if you fly Delta its known forit's delays and having flights (right before take off) wait on Tarmac for plane to be checked for something or other (but it's better checked then then finding out about the prob in the air). That's what to to us on domestic flight in Atlanta on delta. We missed our connecting flight.

I think you asked this question already this week and everyone gave you the same answers? Never the less, Paris is also a VERY confusing & busy transfer and I speak fluent French. It requires you go thru a second security check/ shuttle/ etc. So, give yourself at least two hours there and two to three in Atlanta at minimum. I've flown this route many times and its the same every time...plus I'm a USC and it goes quicker for me. (Except when I'm bringing my gallons of olive oil!!) Good luck!!

I left 6 needed about 4 1/2. Better to be safe than miss the connecting flight.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

My Interview in Atlanta was only like 25mins thats with waiting time.

The issue is not how long the interview adds to the wait. The two primary issues are whether the incoming flight arrives on time and how many other flights arrive with how many people at the same time.

I fly thru Atl all airport all the time, 2.5 hrs for international flight and considering the immigration process for CR1, it might be little close, but you need not worry.

If you miss the flight from Atlanta to Dallas - Delta would put you on the next flight to Dallas.

Both are major airports and there are tons of flight connecting them.

Just wondering why you are not looking for flight to fly in directly to Dallas then that would cut your one connecting flight.

You won't have enough time, especially it being the holiday season. Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world and if you never traveled through Atlanta, you might get confused with the concourse system and rushing for time. Plus, adding security checks, POE entry, potential late arrival of your flight, etc. then problems will start to add up. Best to have a minimum 3 hours, 4 hours would be your best bet and will give you enough time to relax and take things slowly.

If you decide to keep your flight, make sure you carry enough money or credit card just in case you do miss your flight and have to book another one.

As long as Delta has a later flight to DFW with a seat available, they'll put the passenger on it at no charge. The really big problem is when the flight you miss is the last one of the day. I've had to spend 3 unscheduled overnights since 2006 due to late departing international flights. The most recent was with an itinerary with a 5+ hour layover. The flight left 8 hours late. Go figure.

Well OP, experienced travlers here tired to give you a heads up about leaving enough time between connections.

I think you are probably like most people, you don't figure your trip can start off with a delay at the departure airport,

encounter bad weather than can cause a inflight delay or when arriving at the worlds busiest airport having to find

your way around.

Yes, just as another comment was made, there have been instances where no gates are available. How can that be since

Atlanta has 6 concourses and 225 gates? It happens, not often but it does. Once during the holiday season, I arrived

in Atlanta with 15 other international flights, some pulling up to the gates, others waiting for gates, we waited an hour for a gate.

The worst part was the zoo inside and the wait for the immigration process.

Maybe you'll make your connection, with all the effort it will take to clear customs/immigration, travel to the ticket counter to

re-check your luggage, clear security again, then travel to the new departure gate. Atlanta is easy, but your first time there

can cause some confusion. Missing your flight won't be an issue, unless you missed the last flight of the evening.

Atlanta is a HUGE Airport depending on the gate of your next flight I think you are cutting it very close. If you have any problems getting through Imigration or if lots of plans coming in at the same time. I would push back your connecting flight if I were you

Not true anymore. This use to be the way Delta and other usa airlines did business but now even on domestic flights if you miss your flight they make you pay the change fee

I should have said if you miss the connecting flight due to a delay when they've sold you a ticket with a legal connection. If you just get lost or otherwise don't arrive in time for the flight, there may be a change fee.
