Wife Accused of Trying to Cut Husband's ####### Off With Scissors

PALM SPRINGS (KTLA) -- A 67-year-old woman is in police custody Sunday after she allegedly tried to cut off her husband's ####### with a pair of scissors.

Palm Springs police received a report of an assault at a home on the 1700 block of Rochelle Road around 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to a press release, when officers arrived they found the 62-year-old man with injuries to his genital area.

The man told officers that his wife had attempted to sever his ####### with a pair of scissors. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The injuries were deemed non-life threatening and he was later released.

Police found the scissors at the home and arrested his wife, Virginia Valdez, 67, on charges of mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon and spousal abuse.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.

Valdez is currently being held on $100,000 bond.

OTSEGO CO. -- Update: Angela Borowiak, the wife of the victim, has been arraigned for aggravated assault, domestic violence, and phone tampering in a dispute where she threatened to cut her husband's genitals off.

An Otsego County woman is charged with threatening to cut off her husbands ####### for watching a movie with naked women in it.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office was called to the home on a domestic assault Tuesday afternoon.

The man told deputies his wife saw him watching the movie and started hitting him in the groin. She then left the room and came back with a knife and told him she'd cut his ####### off. When the man tried to call police his wife took the phone and threw it.

The woman was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic violence and phone tampering.

A Southern Californian woman is accused of cutting off the ####### of her estranged husband. She was arrested late last night after investigators responded to a 911 call and is now in custody at the Orange County Jail.

Catherine Kieu Becker of Garden Grove reportedly prepared dinner for her husband and put a poisonous substance or drug in his food to make him drowsy, reports KTLA. While the man was sleeping, Becker allegedly tied him to the bed. When he awakened, Becker cut his ####### off with a knife and threw it into the garbage disposal, turning it on as she did so.

Lt. Jeff. Nightengale told NBC LA that Becker called 911 at around 10 p.m. requesting emergency assistance. Nightengale said that Becker "told responding officers that he 'deserved it.'" Nightengale also revealed that the married couple was going through a divorce.

Nightengale spoke with the HuffPost and confirms that the victim has been upgraded to stable or good condition and is being treated at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. Nightengale also says that pieces of the severed member were recovered from the crime scene and transported to the hospital with the victim last night, but he has no details on how the surgery went. Police hope to interview the victim either today or tomorrow.

Becker has been charged with "aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse," according to the Associated Press. The most serious of these charges is "aggravated mayhem," which carries a life sentence with possibility of parole (as opposed to just "mayhem," which has a sentence of 3-5 years).

Of the aggravated mayhem charge, Nightengale says, "It's so heinous -- we're looking at this as premeditated. Her intention was to permanently deprive him of a piece of his body and do it in such a way to inflict a great amount of pain and psychological damage." He also adds, "I've been doing this for 22 years and the only other time I remember this happening was when Lorena Bobbitt did it, and that didn't even happen here. This isn't a typical domestic violence case -- it was way over the top."

Now, let's talk about this story out of Deltona: A 27-year-old woman was arrested after biting her husband's ####### because she didn't want to have sex with him.

Charris Bowers (click the link above for a pic) told police she and husband Delou came home from a bar Friday night when Delou took off his clothes and tried to force himself on her.

Charris says she bit her husband's ####### to get him away from her. The responding police officer saw the private-part injuries, photographed them for evidence, and charged Charris with misdemeanor battery.

An Australian woman has been charged with murder after setting her husband's ####### on fire, killing him.

Rajini Narayan, 44, allegedly got jealous after seeing her husband hug another woman. After her husband went to sleep, Narayan doused his genitals in alcohol and lit him on fire.

The blaze also caused about $700,000 worth of damage to their townhouse.

Police said Narayan told them: "I just wanted to burn his ####### so it belongs to me and no one else."

This story takes last week's #######-biting several steps too far.

The Story of a Wife Cutting Off Her Husband's #######

Lorena Bobbitt made headlines around the world when she cut off half her husband's ####### and threw it out a car window.

The Incident

On the night of June 23, 1993, 26-year-old John Wayne Bobbitt came home to his Manassas, Virginia apartment after a night out partying and drinking. According to his wife, Lorena Bobbitt, John then raped her.

The couple had already been married for four years and during that time, Lorena had allegedly suffered from years of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse by John. John also frequently boasted about his infidelities and had forced Lorena to have an abortion. All this built up to this particular night, when Lorena finally snapped.

While John was asleep, Lorena got out of bed and went into the kitchen for a drink of water. While in the kitchen, she saw an eight-inch carving knife sitting on the counter. Lorena grabbed the knife, then walked back to the bedroom where John was sleeping. She pulled back the covers and then sliced John Bobbitt's ####### nearly in half.

While there are crazy people who commit crazy crimes in every religion and even outside of any religion as the examples prove, this particular case is about religious extremism. The husband did not mutilate his wife because she was guilty of adultery, but because she wanted to learn, become an equal to a man. The closest thing to such a restraint would be the Amish who believe that education beyond the 8th grade serves no purpose. But no Amish would cut off somebody's fingers for trying to get a higher education, no Christian, no Jew, no Buddhist and no Hindu. This particular crime was based on Islamic doctrine, and while it would not be fair to point fingers to all Muslims because of the actions of one person, it is fair to say that without the husband's Islamic faith, this atrocity would not have happened.

fail. what islamic doctrine forbids women from attaining an education? even in the completely fracked up magic kingdom of saudi, over 58% of university students are female. the fact remains, the degenerate piece of garbage that did this to his wife did it because he's an insufferable sack of dog #######. and unfortunately men like this can be found anywhere, making up whatever garbage reasons they have for oppressing and hurting women. in every demographic, in every corner of this planet unfortunately.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's political leaders and chief rabbis on Sunday condemned persistent efforts by ultra-Orthodox Jewish men to shunt Israeli women to the back of public buses, a year after the country's Supreme Court outlawed the practice.

The outcry came in reaction to an Israeli woman's experience of being asked to move to the back of a bus, which was posted on Facebook and became a cause celebre in the Israeli media on Sunday. The case even drew public comment from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who deplored gender segregation.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews, who make up about 10 percent of Israel's population of 7.6 million, have become increasingly aggressive in their efforts to impose their norms in public spaces. The ultra-Orthodox have segregated bus lines and some walkways in their neighborhoods.

In Jerusalem, billboards depicting women have become a rarity because ultra-Orthodox vandals rip them down. The issue also has seeped into the military, where religious soldiers walked out of a military event several months ago because women were singing — which extremely devout Jews believe is contrary to Jewish law.

In the past, ultra-Orthodox Jews have confined their strict practices to their own neighborhoods, alongside occasional attempts to pass restrictive legislation banning sale of pork or opening shops on the Jewish Sabbath.

Recently the extremist Jews have been trying to impose their norms outside their own enclaves, but the effects are scattered. Most of Israel's secular majority is not directly affected.

The Supreme Court was forced to wade into the controversy last year, when it ruled on the segregated buses and sidewalks. Although activists say harassment on buses has diminished since the court ruling late last year, some fiercely devout are persisting with their efforts to block the mixing of the sexes in public.

Tanya Rosenblit, a 28-year-old woman from the southern town of Ashdod, discovered this last Friday, when she boarded a bus to an Orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem. Shortly after she sat down behind the driver, a man wearing the black garb and flowing sidelocks of the ultra-Orthodox boarded the bus and asked her to move. She refused, and the man then blocked the bus from driving, she told The Associated Press.

She held her ground — even after a male police officer dispatched to the scene asked her if she was "willing to respect them and move to the back," she said.

"I said, 'I respected them enough with my modest dress and I don't plan to humiliate myself to respect them or anyone else,'" she said.

The man opted to stay in Ashdod rather than travel on the bus with her.

Netanyahu spoke out against the attempted segregation at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting.

"Today I heard about moving a woman on a bus. I adamantly oppose this," Netanyahu said. "Fringe groups must not be allowed to tear apart our common denominator. We must preserve public space as open and safe for all citizens of Israel."

Israel's two chief rabbis, themselves ultra-Orthodox Jews, concurred that the religious have no right to impose their opinions on others and proposed private bus lines as a substitute.

"It's not an ultra-Orthodox state," said Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger, who represents Israel's Ashkenazi, or European-descended Jews.

"A person can subject himself to a stricter code, but not others," the Ynet news website quoted Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, who represents Sephardic Jews of Mideast descent, as saying.

Parliamentary opposition leader Tzipi Livni said the struggle was not only for the right of women to sit at the front of buses, "but the very face of Israel."

"There is a group in Israel that is trying to impose its lifestyle on the Zionist majority," she said.
