I think only U.S consulate is closed not embassy...karachi,lahore and peshawar consulate is closed.

I have heard on news that the visa services have been suspended and the majority of staff has been sent on holiday. Does anyone know when the visa section will open again.

This is not good! Action of a few can often speak words for a nation... I express my deep regrets to the victims, the individuals in the USembassy to the actors in the movie.

I hope the embassy opens up very soon.... I would guess perhaps monday but who knows how long before this issue is resolved.

What do you guys think they will do with the appointments that have been set for the days they will close?

My research leads me to believe they will reschedule the missed appointments and still maintain the ones that have been scheduled for later dates.

4 days go i send email to embassy from online link ,if u are not going to give me visa then pls send my passport back to me ..and i got this reply .

Dear Mr. Imran,

We understand the frustration that you must be feeling with regard to the applicant(s) case. However, we are still in the process of all other requirements necessary to determine immigrant visa issuance. The processing time is standard, and unfortunately, we cannot do anything to speed it up. We will contact the applicant once we have concluded the processing of the case. Also, we will soon return your passport via courier.

I hope this information will be helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you required any further inquiry.

You know after waiting 2 years you might want to consider moving to canada. The immigration process is a lot easier there and you are also able to get citizenship faster and able to visit USA as a visitor or with work visa. just an alternative to think about!

Today i got call from Amex to pick my passport embassy send my passport without visa......now i will try to go to another country

Dear Consul General at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad

I need to know why are you punishing us Pakistanis by keeping us apart from our loved ones its has been a year now that i am in AP i need to know how long ? do you even know about this inhumane practices that are going under your supervision ? or do you like to force people to live on the edge and become psychological cases ? please do replay as i need to know whats going ?
