I am also writing a letter to Mr. Donahue that will be mailed out by the end of the week as well as a letter to Hillary Clinton.

I am doing the paperwork for a Writ of Mandamus and will be filing it soon with the Federal District Court for the State of Michigan. I can't afford an attorney so I am filing it myself and asking the Court to appoint me an attorney free of charge.

I filed the I-130 petition over 2 years ago and our case has been with the embassy in AP for over a year. My husband and I are suffering and I have to do something to try and get the embassy to make a decision on our case. I have sent many emails to the embassy about my case and all they will say is pending Administrative Processing.

I will keep you guys informed about how things are going with the Writ of Mandamus.

When your husband attended 2nd interview?

We had to submit some documents after his first interview. We submitted them in November 2010. Our case was placed in Administrative Review for 3 months then they placed it in AP for 2 months before he was called for the 2nd interview in May 2011. The embassy has had our case in AR/AP for over a year.

After his 2nd interview they just continued his AP.

Just a thought... just like Faisal (sp) said.. why don't we consider collectively contacting them and letting them know of the endless AP issues at the embassy? Have no idea if it would work and i feel pretty certain they have probably been contacted before but after 6 months of ap it should be able to be completed....

I emailed the embassy and got the canned response as ap is pending and will contact when completed. Even tho i asked specific questions about our name checks being completed. Dont understand why they cant just say where we are in the process. im truly deeply heartbroken :crying:

Barikhan Congratualtions!

EAbbas the DOS says they can't give out any information because it's a matter of national security. It is very heart breaking to wait month after month without knowing what is going on with our cases. The last few nights I have been unable to sleep from worrying about being in AP. I just want them to make a decision about my case. I keep praying about it but I don't know if God is hearing me.

I am also writing a letter to Mr. Donahue. I have been dealing with such ridiculous people at that embassy and it has caused so much grief for me and my husband. We are both emotional wrecks. I've even started making plans to move there until these idiots get it straight. It isn't just about waiting for me, its the abuse of power these embassies practice. If there is any sense of democracy left in our immigration system they will provide a visa for those law abiding Pakistani's and do their homework PROPERLY and EFFICIENTLY--just as it is expected of me at my job.

Dear All, I know we are all frustrated with the embassy for AP. But honestly AP is not up to the consulate. Once they send the file to Washington requesting Security Advisory Opinion, they have to suspend working on the case until they receive clearance from Washington. Most of the time when a name is common and it gets a false hit in the name check data base again and again it the case is given to person in the Washington DC office to clear it manually. So now how fast your case will clear depends on the person sitting in Washington DC who has your file. So, the hold up is actually the State Department Washington DC office, not the embassy.
