I think AP has nothing to do with fraud or wrong intentions. We all know why we have been shortlisted. Its really unfair but we have to bear the brunt due to generalization. It is what it is.

I have noticed that this section is the most depressing section of the whole forum. Every other place you can feel the positive essence of all the posts. They are very joyful with happy endings etc. Here the mood is all so different. I can imagine what all of you are going through. I am in the same boat........ Lately, I have not felt so well after constantly checking out this section. Sometimes it makes me more depressed. I took some time off and it was worth it. Perhaps you all can do the same and see if it works out for you (just a suggestion)....

This section was started to try to understand why we all go thru such long AP in Islamabad... we are here to support and encourage.. celebrate the good hold eachother up with the frustrating... give help when something happens but most of all just be here to help those behind us as well...

It is what it is.... It's aP and the CO actually told me specifically they do these kinds of AP because of all the fraud and wrong doers that try to get visas with wrong intentions...

There will be good news soon for some of these individuals in the next few weeks and we want to celebrate with them and all of us will come out of it soon but only to be replaced by more ppl... but mostly if you look at the entire forum.. it's Islamabad going thru such long drawn out checks so that's why we are here... if you notice other sections, they don't understand the pain and the hurt from a year long AP... their AP usually ends within a couple of months.. that's painful enough

I don't stop looking because I dont want to stop encouraging those that are suffering... I suffer too and its terrible but if i can help just one person understand or find out who to contact to get answers or simply to just have faith that it will end... then I'll be here... even after ours is completed...

Perhaps you all can do the same and see if it works out for you (just a suggestion)....

I had to come and chime in on this. I follow this topic because I get encouraged and uplifted. Even when I read the sorrow and pain and heartfelt agony. Why, because it expresses to us the true deep down love these wonderful couples have for each other.

No one told us it would be easy and I sure didn't know I would have to live so long apart from my husband.

No I am not going through AP (and pray I never have to) or through the Islamabad embassy. But I too will be dealing with the toughest most high fraud consulate on earth, Nigeria.

I get encouraged and love to cry and cheer when I read the "good news" of a VISA ISSUED.

EAbbas has done such a great job not just gathering this information and keeping people informed. But the bonding, encouragement, reassurance you get here well you can't get that anywhere else because frankly most of the posters have no clue. I don't even understand it.

How you first have to go through the Visa process that's about 1/2 to a year than mandatory AP that maybe short or over a year. Some of these couples been apart 2 years and more.

Yet they find the courage and strength to help each other, and be a shoulder to lean and cry on through those tough times and dry a tear or two.

I for one love this group. You all should all be so proud of your SO's and yourself because you truly have shown love conquerors all. And with love NOTHING is impossible.

May you all receive the desires of your heart soon. Inshallah! (Did I spell that right :))

I'm glad you created this thread. It's so nice to be able to come here and share concerns and frustratons about AP. I dont know anyone else going through the same process so I know my family and friends dont know what I'm going through. It's so nice to be able to come here and write whatever is on my mind to get things off my chest. It is also nice to see those who get out of AP, it gives me hope. I check this thread often to see who else has received their visa. Also, thank you EAbbas for all the encouragement you provide to myself and many in this process.

more the 6 months in AP very disappointed.

It won't last forever it's just a small part of our happy ending stay focused on your marriage on your future on your life right now but don't dwell so much on the ap just think of it as the bridge that will get you and all the other spouses home to your loved ones.... Each day is another brick put on the bridge some bridges are shorter and some longer but it is still our path to our happy ending

It will be one year as of May 21st that we have been in AP. Sadly, we started this process in September of 2009 and have been in some phase of processing until AP truly started last year. I read these threads regularly so that I don't feel like the only one suffering. I cry a lot and completely understand everyone's pain and frustration. I don't think there is any one or any thing that will be able to help. It is just inhumane to have no real communications while going through this. I have tried every avenue available and I get nowhere and no response. I call DOS like everyone else and they acknowledge it was touched and that is it. Needless to say I am depressed. Bless his heart, my fiance remains hopeful! That is why I love him so much.

Today is our 11 month of AP.. We're just behind you... recently we also have shed tears and cried and been so sad and depressed but somehow we pick ourselves up and dust off and move ahead for the next day... This whole process is very difficult even at the easiest of embassies but we struggle deeply in Islamabad embassy as to the why? who really knows... but what we can all focus on is we all have good relationships that aren't going anywhere and daily becoming stronger solid marriages/relationships... we have faith and love for eachother that can't be matched anywhere else... we will remain steadfast in our love and in our future... We also have eachother here... other ppl that have been on AP may somewhat understand but until they have gone thru more than a few weeks or a couple of months may never know the heart ache or the pain or all the missing of special occasions that we have. We have a good support system here we have ppl who truly knows what it means to be in the black abyss of AP and we can encourage eachother hold eachother up when we are feeling down, celebrate the good days and teh visa approvals as well as just simply trying to pass each day.

One day I promise.... this WILL be over... I dont know when and i dont know where we will each be when we get that call but we WILL get that call and WE WILL get the visas and we WILL be with our loved ones... and then we can truly appreciate what we have and be thankful and blessed and happy always....

Have faith, stay strong and know it will end....
