After sending information about my old passports and id card number to embassy i got this email

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for the information provided and we will contact you once processing on the case is complete.

U.S Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan

That simply means they are going thru your papers one last time and making sure the case is complete and getting ready to issue the visa. IT's soon don't worry!

4th Medical submit :26th Feb 2014 Result :Got email reply from embassy that they will call me for finger prints and oath ..and still waiting Got call for finger prints and oath

on 12th MAY Went for finger prints and oath :21th May Result :ApprovedVisa Issued :22.05.2014

How long does the consulate takes to review a document?

I know it's off topic. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Can take up to 4-6 weeks to review a document.

and how long does Islamabad take to replay to congressman enquiry ?

they are required to answer a congressman within a specific amount of time. They should answer within a few days... that's how long it has normally taken us to get a response for the congressman/senator

I called DOS on Wednesday and she said ur case may take days or weeks and u call us accordingly and ur case pending.Thursday I've call again and she said call us in next week,okkkk.Friday again my case pending.what u think I receive some good news on next week or just b/c I call Dos frequently

They always tell me to call next week too.. it's just reminding you that you can call them anytime to inquire about your case.. unless they tell you that its final review or ap is over then its just standard answer... I wish that we start seeing good news again soon... its a long time coming for us in AP!

Ok.. Let's do something fun!!! What was one of the funniest things you did as a couple when you were in pakistan?

For me, it was several lol

1. we stayed with my husbands sister and her place was right on the street so at 6am i was sleeping so soundly.. then all of a sudden.. BEEP BEEP BONK BONK BOOP BOOP... I jumped and almost fell off the bed with the sudden car beeping and noise lol!!!!

2. I caught my sister in laws' frog in her house.. the crazy frog kept coming to her front door wanting in LOL and we thought we had it cornered and caught with a bucket over it... when we told adil the frog needed to go out.. he was wonderful and took the bucket scooting it out the door but when he lifted it the frog wasn't there.. OMG it was still in the house so it took 3 of us to get it and neither he nor his sister wanted to catch it but tried to scare it out the door so I finally closed my eyes and just grabbed it and we put it in a bag and took it out.. Otherwise I woudln't have been able to sleep lol

3. Last but not least... dinner party at my husbands uncles place... we worked all day on a really great conversation skit we put together in urdu... we did it from beginning to end for his family.. they were laughing and crying and finally said... EMMYYYY your soooo cute speaking urdu :D

I really miss my times in karachi!!!!! miss my family and most of all my husband.... This too shall pass as Inshallah visas will be approved soon.... hoping for some this week!!! INSHALLAH!

I think you should contact the embassy to see what they say cos they should have sent you something for another interview if they needed one and they may not have sent it yet but check with embassy to know for sure

Salaam everyone! I'm a little confused right now. My husband's case has been "pending AP" since December 19 according to DOS. The CO had told us the visa would be issued within two months, after waiting i decided to contact my congressman. I just got an update from them today, and they told me that they didn't get any information about the case being in administrative processing to begin with, and that on friday the case has been given to an Adjudicating Officer to look at. I don't understand if thats a good thing or a bad thing? I told her that I thought the case was under AP? and she said we didn't get any information about it being under AP because then there would be no time limit and they would've told us that. So I'm pretty confused right now. Has this happened to anyone else? please shed some light on me!

Sounds like they are ready to make the decision and possibly issue the visa soon
