Hang in there, Carolyn; not only do I share your sentiments but also your woes about DOS. I have been getting this one woman for the last three weeks, never tells me anything other than ''tis still pending'. What's worse? She's actually the good one, I've had people when I called DOS the last nine months to actually hang up on me just because I asked them a second question after the usual "can you kindly give me a status update on me case please".

It'll go through, we can be patient and tolerant... its never easy, but I can tell you (promise you in fact) it'll be worth it in the end.

You are so right... I've had them all and sometimes i get hung up on, sometimes they seem like they have had a bad day already, some are very compassionate but still just say pending, and sometimes i can ooze a little bit out of them not often but sometimes, even once i started crying badly and the rep was sweetly calming me down and saying its just procedure theres nothing wrong with the case its just the process and was extremely compassionate.

It's just hard especially when you've had a bad week you just want to come home to your spouse and let them make you better, drink tea have good conversation or dear GOD go out to eat dinner instead of sitting in front of the pc

Thank you guys for your support. I'm feeling better today. I usually just ask the status of the case because I know they won't tell me anything.

I know that going through AP is one of the hardest things I've gone through in my life. My husband and I never expected to be in AP this long. If we knew for sure we were going to get the visa things would feel different but it's the not knowing anything that's killing us. I'm happy it's the weekend and we can all relax for a couple of days and not worry about the visa process until Monday.

Oh happy day! I finally got some information out of DOS! I asked when was the last time someone had worked on our case and she said today. After almost 15 months of not being told anything but its pending AP this is great news.

Today i call to Dos operator said u are under admin process and embassy working on ur case

They will do that until your new docs submitted are accepted and can finally issue your visa. They have to put all your new docs with your case it just takes a little time just remember your very close

I... I'm floating, the feeling is so overwhelming despite having fantasized about this day the last 18 months. My journey began in late September 2010, and finally it's reached a point where 'tis now under me control more or less.

Without VJ - this thread in particular, kudos to EAbbas - I don't think I'd have made it with me sanity intact. I consider myself the epitome of the manly man, but I have someone in my life who can move me to tears, and I'm proud to call her mine everyday.

This is difficult; the journey, the love, the wait... but we can all do this. It requires patience and a lot more honour, but it's doable. I'm ecstatic today to get the visa in hand, and I'm extremely proud to call you all my friends, without whom this would have been a hardship. Thank you all and God bless.
