Alhamdulillah with the mercy of Allah my husband's visa has been issued.

I called DOS about 10 minutes back. The lady told me congratulations your visa has been issued on March 4th, 2012. I asked her again are you sure? She said yes and wished me good luck.

Waiting for passport to arrive through DHL. I can't beleive AP is over. We spent 11 months in AR/AP. 4 months in AR followed by 7 months in AP.

I hope all of you see an end to your AP soon.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!! I love that finally we are seeing visas issued after such a long time without news!!!!!

Worth the wait.. hang in there... we are all compassionate and understanding.. good days and bad days follow but in the end we will be together with our fiances and spouses!!!! INSHALLAH

Congrats RealAI (and to everyone who's just had their visas issued!) Have a safe journey, mate.

Each day is such a drag, but nothing is permanent in this world... not even our wicked troubles. Still waiting to hear from the embassy about the new passport and medical report I sent three weeks ago. Anybody has any idea how long it actually takes them to issue it once you send in your new passport? (I googled it, and most instances show between three and five weeks) I called DOS last Friday but they told me 'tis pending and refused to tell me about any update... meh, guess it all depends on who you get on the phone. Also emailed the embassy through their new web inquiry thingy, no response... not surprised. As somebody mentioned a few posts back how the status remains unchanged until they have put the passport and visa in through the courier (therefore they are gonna keep repeating how 'tis pending, yada yada until it actually gets issued.)

But we're holding on, me and the darling... and to everybody else who thinks what else they can do but hold on, I think its making every moment count and make every hour worth it. God bless you all, this thread's a life saver in more ways than one.

Oh Gil1234... im sure the visa will be issued within another week or two. It does take time once new docs are submitted i've read that on many occasions. Usually like you said before two months it's usually finished and in hand. It will be soon for you Inshallah and then we can put another name on visa issued!!!!!

I am so sick of DOS. I can never get them to give me any information like they for other people. They will tell me when they have sent an email to me or my lawyer or the congressman but that's it. Calling them feels like a big waste of time. When will they ever be ready to give us the visa?

Hang in there, Carolyn; not only do I share your sentiments but also your woes about DOS. I have been getting this one woman for the last three weeks, never tells me anything other than ''tis still pending'. What's worse? She's actually the good one, I've had people when I called DOS the last nine months to actually hang up on me just because I asked them a second question after the usual "can you kindly give me a status update on me case please".

It'll go through, we can be patient and tolerant... its never easy, but I can tell you (promise you in fact) it'll be worth it in the end.
