Ayan & Ahmed Jutt my sympathies. Maybe you have had better luck than I.

I asked my company to assign me to an overseas project which they did and brought my wife and son (awaiting AP) after recalling the passports. One week together abroad and the embassy recalls the passports for my wife and son. I send back my wife and son to Pakistan to submit the passports in the hope that the embassy is finally ready after 3 years to issue the VISA. But NO! they have been sitting on the passports for 3 weeks now and my family is again not with me. Does it get more cruel than this? WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU RECALL THE PASSPORTS IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO ISSUE THE VISA!!!!!!!!!!

This immigration process is a joke! It rewards the folks who somehow managed to cross the border illegally by offering a path to citizenship but penalizes those who take the legal route. UGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIDICULOUS.

Embassy reply my every email but my case still stuck at Ap....

today i got this email

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our record indicates that the visa application in the subject immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict as to how long this processing still may take. However, please rest assured that as soon as this processing has completed, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her form DS-230. We further assure that the delays caused by admin processing do not at all mean that this case has been forgotten.

this is what they did for email , start /Mydocuments/my-replies-2-applicants,/double-click-on-notepad file, right click , select-all/copy/ paste the ready made reply back

my wife has now been in AP 21 months, meaning 1 yr and 9 months. she had her interview in feb 2012. this is ridiculous. I just requested the embassy to send her original documents which they didnt return at the time of her interview, so that i can file for my new born's citizenship. i also requested for my wifes original passport since that is required for new borns citizenship as well. wife received the documents from embassy but not the original passport, so we again emailed the mbassy to resend the passport soon as well. oh well. lets see. i hope they send it soon so we can file my new borns docs for citizenship.

any idea if involving a lawyer at this stage will help at all? i hope atleast my babys citizenship process is quick, easy and smooth without any hiccups or AP. and i honestly hope that will help my wife is getting her IR1 visa too. what do u guys think? should i involve a lawyer?

u r right,bro me waiting from the last 5 week after sending passport,but once my case before eid was showing READY next day again in AP and still showing AP i dont know what they are looking now,i was also ready to go uk and wants to stay there till visa but they ask again for passport and still doing joke:(

Having a lawyer does not help with AP. All a lawyer can do is file a Writ of Mandamus to get the embassy to finish your case but that doesn't mean you would get the visa

It is better to have a senator or congressman helping with your case. The embassy will answer their emails.
