I submitted passport on 7 OCT 2013 and they don't yet confirmed, that they received it and no status update. ... also now my job is at stake .. what should i do.....

This is reduculous ayan. I am so sorry. I am in the same boat as you but they did confirm they have received the passports. Saying its a 4-5 weeks queue before they get to it (((

Did they email you about passport receiving or u confirm it from DOS?

when i asked them about passport receiving, i get the below email, DOS also don't have any other info thn this email..

Thank you very much for the information about submission of the required documents. Our records, at this time, do not show the receipt of the documents, however those might be received in our office but would be in the pipeline to be reviewed for further processing of the case. The average time to review the received documents at our office is 3-4 weeks.

Please contact our office after 3-4 weeks for further updates about the submitted documents

When you call Dos, do they usually ask you to call back next week for an update?

From last two weeks, representative tells me to wait and after looking at the file.. Tells me to call back next week.. Yesterday when I call I heard the rep mumble four times completed completed completed and completed. I asked her and she said she can not disclose the information. She just kept telling me to call back next week. Hmmm any thoughts?

No they never tell me to call back. Maybe embassy is just doing some last finishing touches

5th week started after submitting passport,they are not replying email that did they recive my passport or not,but DOS confirm it that my passport is in embassy, but dont know how much time they take more for visa:(
