My husband came online to talk to me. He says 3 men interviewed him for an hour. At first one of the men was yelling at him that he only married me to get a visa but my husband stayed calm and answered all their questions. Because I am much older than my husband they said their main concern was that he would come to the USA and then

leave me. My husband said I have been married to my wife 4 years. She is beautiful, kind and understanding and I will never leave her.

They said we can tell your wife loves you very much and if we give you the visa it will also be for her sake. They said they would try to get him the visa but they could

not promise he would get it.

I think the interview turned out well. All we can do now is keep praying and waiting.

I almost forgot. I just got an email from the embassy saying we need a new medical, police certificate, DS-230 and passport pics. It's got to be a mistake. We just

turned all that in April 2013. I thought those documents were good for a year. My husband said at the interview they never said we need fresh documents.

YUCk!! what an experience for your husband!! I am glad you are over one step. It looks like with their follow up email, it is coming soon.

I have to write the embassy back and tell them they are making a mistake. I will also call DOS and see if they are showing we need new documents. I'm sure the DS-230 and medical are good for a year.

Embassy send me 2 emails 1 of my email reply

1st is got on 27th Oct 2013

Thank you for your inquiry.

We have just reviewed this case and can confirm the case, like many others, is still undergoing administrative processing, a critical part of the visa application process, that can be neither expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require.

Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact you. We know how frustrating this wait is for our applicants. Please rest assured that this case has neither been forgotten, nor slipped through the cracks.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section,

American Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan

2nd is got on 28th Oct 2013

Thank you for your email.

As per our available information, your case is still under administrative process. An integral part of visa adjudication process that can neither be waived nor expedited. Unfortunately, we are unable to predict the amount of time this will require. We will, however, contact you as soon as this process is finished.

In addition, you need to provide fresh following documents in order for us to update the visa case file, via one of our approved courier offices.

1) Completed/signed visa forms DS230 (part I & II)

2) Medical examination report (from panel physician)

3) 2 visa photographs (white/off white background)

Sincerely,

IV Unit, Consular Section,

U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.

Now tell me i have to send fresh Documents or wait for Administrative process to be end?

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. I called DOS yesterday. The lady I talked to said send in fresh medical and documents they are ready to issue the visa

I just want to be sure because the medical costs $130 along with travel expenses. I could use that money to buy food for my son. I don't have money to waste on a medical

that is not needed. Please continue to pray for me and my husband. I believe that prayer changes things for the better.

Hopefully thats all good news!! and yours goes quickly

On a weird note.. I just noticed the ceac website updated my case just now to "30th Oct".. how does that even make sense? It's past midnight in the pak embassy and even US time its not the 30th. I called DOS about it but they said they can't see the ceac website but as of yesterday I'm still in AP. My case has been updated more frequently in the last 10 days. Hopefully that also means good news for me, but the Oct 30th just threw me off.
