I need your opinion/advice.

I am in AP from September 2012, two months ago i submitted fresh medical, ds230 and new photos.. now the embassy is asking for original passport(only), which i submitted on last Monday. what are the chances of getting visa? and time frame.

As i am working abroad and need my passport, so how much time should i give to the embassy?

This sounds very promising that you should get the visa but the turn around time frame is never easily predicted. Try to let them finish your case without having to request the passport back. It may take several weeks or a couple of months. However, if you need the passport back you can request it. The time needed is just not easy to know. Wish it were easier.

Hi, i need suggestion, after email embassy for update my case, they response

WE would like you to know that the available medical in the subject immgrant visa case file expires on January 10, 2014. Therefore, the visa issued to him will only be valid upto this date. If applicant wants to have a full six month validity visa, a new medical must be submitted immediately. In addition, we recommend that Mr.(name) now should have his passport returned to our office if he is not using it.

As currently I'm working/living outside Pakistan, what should I do, as i can get max 2-3 week off from work. what if after come back on leave and submit my passport and in 3 weeks Embassy not issue visa? As i have to travel back for my job.

I'm planning to visit Pakistan for 2 days, doing my medical submit it and back, wait if Embassy response any new update.

Kindly advice if someone gone through the same.

hi neosez ur lucky if u got this emial from embassy, so my bro as soon as u can come pakistan and send ur passport to us embassy islamabad. my sis and after 1 week my bro got same thing from embassy and they issued visas for them in 2 working days. congr. u will get ur visa bro just come fast and send ur pp to embassy.

guys i have situation here, i had a k1 visa interview last year in sept and in the recent congressional inquiry embassy informed my congressman that my medical report was expired and i should submit a new one asap so i got my medical few days ago. i thought i should email the embassy and make a regular inquiry to see if they will ask for a new medical and ds230 forms, so i did and i got reply today which goes as follows

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our record indicates that the subject immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict as to how long it still may take. However as soon as this process has completed, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her form DS-230. Please rest assured that this case has neither been forgotten, nor slipped through the cracks.

Dear Ms. Kargl,

This is in response to your inquiry of September 18, 2013, concerning the immigrant visa case of Mr. Khan.

Mr. Khan’s case is still undergoing administrative processing, a normal part of the visa application process, that can be neither expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require. Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact Mr. Khan. At this time however, may we bring to the attention of the petitioner and Mr. Khan, the applicant in this case, that his available medical report has expired. Therefore, he must submit a new medical report to our office as early as possible.

We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if we can provide any further assistance.

I would just turn in the federal tax return. Don't delay it too much.. Currently they are issue visas during the interviews. Just send what u can. Inshallah he will be approved.

If the embassy asks your congressman for a new medical then it is just like asking you. Print letter to congressman and take to medical.

I sent a copy of the 2012 1040EZ, W-2's, paystubs, employment letter and proof of ongoing relationship to my husband yesterday. God willing he will get it Friday and go to his interview on Monday morning.

He is nervous. He thinks we should have waited for the 2012 transcript but I agree with you that he should interview now while they are giving out visas.
