I wanted to let you guys know that by the grace of Allah, my husband was issued his visa on sept 3rd on the day of his birthday. He was interviewed on April 22nd and was put on AP. we got the call from American Express on sept 5th and he picked his passport and visa packet on sept 9th. I wish all of you the very best of luck and I hope the wait is over soon.

Congratulations that is a very good news. Would you mind telling us your NOA 1 date. we were thinking that maybe they don't want to process visa until it is one year since our NOA 1 date.

Right after 1 year... received email from embassy... to resubmit documents , well they already have my original passport, so should i send them copy of coupon they given to me? and where to submit these documents? they didn't gave any address... thank God they didnt require police certificates.... that is awful to get in Pakistan ....thank God again...and what else do i need to care about... in filling DS230 or others?

• New filled DS230 form (must signed part I and II)
• 2 x visa photos with white or off-white background (Front View)

Hello Guys

I have been a silent reader of this forum since last year .I finally got out of this dark hole (AP) after 13 months of my interview .Here is my story

CR1 interview : 7th Aug 2012 , Result :AP

2nd Medical and DS230 request :18th june 2013

Status updated :27th and 28th Aug 2013

Visa Issued :28th Aug 2013

Visa in hand : Today

During the last 10 months, i ve not sent a single email to the embassy regarding status query of my case as i had learned it was a futile exercise.Its very unfortunate that most of us got stuck in security checks due to common muslim name.I hope that people who are waiting for long may get their visas soon.

I found out that there were 4 of us in one week. We all had the same abusive CO and we were all given the same 212 (a)5(a) which is not a bonafide relationship. In my case she said that his answers did not match mine and she never even interviewed me. My husband was only in there 5 minutes and it was obvious their decision was pre-determined. He brought a lot of evidence with him. They looked at nothing including our wedding photos. None of us were ever on AP. In my case everything went smooth until then. No RFE needed and I already had health insurance for my husband, no help needed with AOS. Everything seemed perfect until the interview. We had already been married 1 1/2 years at the time of the interview. They would not keep any of the cases at the Embassy for us to appeal. The other 2 ppl had their cases send back within 3 months and mine took 1 year. Then one had to wait almost 9 months for their NOIR to reply to it and now is waiting 3 months already for their response to that. I received an email from the USCIS today stating they would send out the NOIR within 14 days. Then I will have 30 days to reply to that. They will then look at our case again and make a decision to reaffirm it or end it. We all still have a long road ahead of us. All of the cases were IR1. Similar has happened to Eabaas and Carolynhotstuff but they were on AP for a long, long time first. Carolynhotstuff's case was reaffirmed after her NOIR but was placed back on AP and is still there. Eabaas was waiting patiently in AP for about 18 months and then was denied and now is in the NOIR process. We will be married 3 years this month but that doesn't seem to matter or prove anything to them.
