Ours was also updated, but on July 15. I think the embassy did a standard roundup and updated a bunch. I doubt they actually looked at 50 people's cases in 1 day when they can't even look at a few on a regular basis.

Question: has anyone had issues asking for their passport back to travel elsewhere, without delaying the AP? My fiance(male) had his interview jan 25 and we are still waiting in AP. I would like to meet him elsewhere if able.

My last AP took 9 months. There is no use of calling DOS or Embassy. You just forget it and it will speed up.

Asking for your passport back will not cause any delays. When the embassy is ready to issue the visa they will ask for it again.

I wish that was true in every case. We've been married for 3 years. I gave birth to our twin daughters here in states 3 weeks ago. My husband has been in AP for over 2 years and we've made endless pleas without any positive news

Not everyone. If you are married for more than 2 years and have a baby, you'll get the visa in hand within 5 days. I've seen this happen to a couple of ppl (male applicants) recently.

i can truly understand this ap bs , i was in ap for 2 whole years , i did my medical 3 times ,lol. when i had no hope than i got my visa . stay strong inshallah u will get it

Tomorrow start's the 10th month my wife's case has been in AP. It really is difficult as we have been married now over 2yrs and barely spent any time together. There is no rhyme or reason to anything. At her interview she was told all is good, she was missing one paper and was told send that in quick and you will get you visa very quickly. Now 10 months later still in AP. Congressman or Senators don't really help. All they say is you are in AP. Hopefully we get some good news before the yr is up. InsAllah.

Sigh, my wife had her interview in June and it's been over a month, no case update. We were told nothing is wrong with our case, we're approved but in AP. They kept her passport and gave back all the original documents. This is extremely difficult, it's been 9 months and more endless waiting. Now our anniversary is coming in a month and based upon everyone in AP, we're going to be apart.
