Visas are not being Issued to Pakistani male applicants. US embassy is doing Top level security clearance because this is the time when International soldiers are being pulled out of Afghanistan. We are stuck too :(

I guess no visas are going to be issued until the end of 2014.

USCIS I-130 Petition for Spouse

September 2012: Filed from abroad to Chicago Lockbox

4 days later: NOA1, Routed to California Service Center

7 days later: Transferred because of new jurisdiction

5 days later: Case Status changed to: Under processing at USCIS office

NOA2 arrived 78 days after NOA1 :)

*I-130 Approval Notice hardcopy finally received in Pakistan, the only notice that arrived.

My friend Amer just got a visa after 3 weeks in AP. He got his CR-1 visa in his hands a few days ago. They are giving visas to some Pakistani males. PuppyLove where did you read that they were not giving visas until 2014?

No, I haven't read it anywhere. It is my own opinion. It seems that way to me. They are not issuing visas. They are holding on to cases. otherwise How come there is no sequence of visa cases being processed. There is no queue. They are issuing visas to very few applicants randomly.

Maybe my visa is not going to be issued for a while. It is very stressful. We can't stay apart. We are planning on getting together in Pakistan or in a third country. It is hard to move to a third country but we will try.

Most checks are automated, the big delays come in when something comes up that needs to be checked manually.

My husband says that the embassy did another field investigation on him today. There were 2 men going around his area asking friends and shopkeepers about his character. They wanted to know what kind of person he was and if he had ever been in any trouble with the law? The last time they did a field investigation they did not come to his house and they didn't this time either.

Why oh why do they not believe that we are a loving couple? Why do they keep digging looking to find something wrong? We have been married almost 4 years and have sent all kinds of relationship proof. If my husband just wanted a visa he would have left me a long time ago.

It is good to know they are working on our case. I just hope they hurry up and finish it.
