Congratulations on finally having your case sent back. USCIS might surprise you and review you case way before the 180 days. What service center handled your case? Was it California or Vermont?

I added the following suggestions. Mushashi, I left the spousal bit because there are people here in other categories besides CR-1. I think you should post it on Organization of Action since you are probably more familiar with it than I am. As for the White House Website, they require 100,000 signatures in thirty days. I dont know how I feel about that. I want to be realistic. Its better to make one petition and focus all of our attention on it than creating multiple ones. Another question that I have been struggling with is that who is our decision maker (who we are appealing to?) President? Prime Minister? Richard Olson? DOS? My two cents are that we make a petition and each time any of us send out an inquiry to a senator, congressman, white house or embassy include this petition with it to raise more awareness and to show that there are other people fighting for the same cause.

..

Draft 2

Administrative processing is a term used to describe a visa application that has been set aside for further review by the embassy.

Most administrative processing cases are resolved within 60-90 days after interview in most countries. However, the majority of the applicants in the Islamabad embassy of Pakistan have been waiting for months and years to get a response. During this long waiting period, the petitioner and beneficiary go through pain and suffer, as there is no time frame, access to any information, or deadlines. The DHS - Ombudsman department oversees the process if the USCIS takes longer than the given time frame but there is nobody to oversee the Administrative Processing. The embassy fails to provide any information to the petitioner or beneficiary except for a generic response that the case is still under administrative processing.

While the reasons of establishing such procedure is understandable, it seems inhumane and out of proportion to put people in the prison of time just because they want to travel to the United States-- mostly to be with their loved ones, to add to economic or/and intellectual growth of the nation. It is thus evident that the US government, especially in the context of this problem, is yet to realize the delicate balance between securing borders and opening doors.

Please bring some transparency in this process to expedite it. Provide a clear explanation to the candidates that are put under admin processing. Give a deadline as to when the visa will be issued along with access to more information. Help alleviate the large backlog within the FBI and other agencies handling the security and background checks to make this a fair and reasonable process.

my advice would be that best site is white house,we need to put our petition there and regarding 10,000 signature i think its not really hard to get that signature and INSHALLAH we will achieve our target less than 30 days, reason iam saying is that social media is much fast and advanced nowadays and everyone have more than 100 friends on facebook,we just have to forward it everyone who is added on facebook.if you take it as that if i have 100 than those 100 must have 100 plus so i think ALLAH is with us and please put it on white house website and pass link all vj members and they will forward it to there contacts.......please do it by the morning of monday so we can get some hope.my all the hopes are in ALLAH he is the one who gave us this path,so please dont delay it,start it with the name of ALLAH...please

Thanks! Ours is being handled by California. One of the others that had their case sent back right away took 1 year and they are in their 30 day appeal process now. However, I know that their is no rhyme or reason so I can only hope that it is sooner than later.

One has to be realistic.

If you go to immigrate2us.net you will see that they have gone this route when the numbers required were much much lower.

No harm, but to suggest anything would come up of it is foolish.

If you really wanted to do something then you need a lobbyist and a very large bank role, it is the American way.

Don't confuse realism with cynicism

USCIS I-130 Petition for Spouse

September 2012: Filed from abroad to Chicago Lockbox

4 days later: NOA1, Routed to California Service Center

7 days later: Transferred because of new jurisdiction

5 days later: Case Status changed to: Under processing at USCIS office

NOA2 arrived 78 days after NOA1 :)

*I-130 Approval Notice hardcopy finally received in Pakistan, the only notice that arrived.

Ive notice nobody has been continuing the tracker for interviews vs AP times and visas issued. If possible please try to continue this part of the thread. I haven't had much time to be able to commit to doing it due to work and family obligations. I've been getting emails asking how to find it and it's important to others going thru our same situation to see how much time it takes for us.. some of us it's immediate issued some of us are still waiting and if we can share any experiences or give them hope then this will help. thank you and praying good things for us all during this difficult time.
(If I have missed anybody that had interviews recently, I do apologize, it was difficult to find the tracker from a couple of months ago, please just re add your name and information below)

Hi still in Ap.

My husband receive this:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please submit following documents in order to further process this case.

• Fresh and updated medical examination report

• Fresh and and updated police clearance certificate

• New filled DS230 form (must signed part I and II)

• 2 x visa photos with white or off-white background (Front View)

You can submit these documents via American Express as soon as possible for the further processing of your case.

He went to get police done but they said they need his passport. His passport been expired since July 2012. Called American Express regarding matter. They told him need to submit new passport to get other stuff done. How long does it take for them to receive the passort back from the embassy?

And embassy has his passport.

Hey There..i am 7 years in IV/IR AP please advise did you received your visa yet and what is the category? how much time has passed since you re submitted medical and PCC? as i just got a ping from embassy to resubmitt med, pcc photos..and its been one month now....

I may be wrong, but I feel as if slowly the embassy is starting to make some progress after a very slow phase. Im seeing cases that have been updated in june and visas issued in june. I also saw some cases that have been updated today as well as some issued today. Maybe this can be a good sign for us.
