Our last status update was April 25, 2013 that's when we sent them all the new documents they asked for. Zee.eff it is depressing not seeing any status changes. My husband insists that I check the ceac website and call DOS. If it were not for him I wouldn't ask for updates either.

Hello everyone,

My wife had her interview today,

My wife visited, got on shuttle, went through security, was fingerprinted, got a number, sat in a waiting area, was called, gave her medical, passport, original nikah nama, and fingerprints, and was given a number. She was called to a window, spoke to a lady (CO) and was asked the following:

1) Where does your husband live?

2) When did you first meet your husband?

3) Have you ever been out of the country?

4) Have you ever been arrested or involved in a crime?

5) How did this relationship start? Was it an arranged marriage?

6) How can you tell the marriage will last?

She told my wife that your case is fine, we have everything we need, but we need to go through administrative processing. My wife asked how long, CO said 3-6 months cray5ol.gif . She gave my wife back all of the original documents but kept the passport (the CO didn't mention they were keeping the passport). She didn't give her any 221g paper of any sort, i'm confused as to what's going on.

My wife left crying, and still is. It's really upsetting, if everything is in order, and you gave an interview date, why are we going through administrative processing!??! Why not just have delayed the interview date originally? Why put people through such torture? sad.png

I already called my congressman's office and left a message for the person who handles visa issues. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else been in a similar/same situation?

Hello.. I wanted to ask if any of the petitioner attended the interview in Islamabad?

Do you think petitioner being present will help during the interview and possibly avoid AP?

iA soon you'll get your visa, it's definitely difficult.

Has anyone gotten AP and not gotten any paperwork such as a green, blue, or pink AP slip?

@coltoasty - very sorry to hear about your wife's interview result.

Be strong, think positive - yours and your wife's time will come - have faith.

@M&A - I as the petitioner was at the interview with my wife - made sure that the CO saw me and heard why I was there and then sat down while she had interview process.

It was always my intention to go to interview - I think I even stated it in some of the paperwork we filed; also stated on DS-230 that petitioner would be travelling with beneficiary to US.

I truly am not sure how much being there helps for the actual interview; I do know that it helped us both be more positive about the experience going in and I am sure it helped support my wife too.

Im my opinion, it was only money and time away from work; this interview for me was a pivot point on my life path. That's the way we both saw it.
