Sam&waq, was his case also created on 28 nov 2011? Just trying to correlate cases close to my wife's!

Thanks carolynhotstuff for the info. That shows that the case is updated everytime they actually do something to a file. Its not like they are working on a case and the update date doesn't change. If they work on it, it does change.

Yes it could be because of her extensive travel history or last name. Lets see. Hoping for the best whatever it is so we can get out of this nightmare ap soon.

I am worried about the birth certificate my husband sent to the embassy. It's been 11 days sense he sent it and our case has not been updated. He did not send a cover letter with the birth certificate. He wrote our case number on the envelpoe he sent it in. The embassy says give them 2 weeks to process the mail but I am thinking to have him send another one on Monday.

just for ur info, it took them exactly 14 days including weekends to update our docs when my wife sent them. so i would say dont worry about it. hopefully next week u will see the update.

Thank you jklm05 for that information. I will pray that next week we see an update. I feel in my heart that we are close to getting the visa. I feel the birth certificate is the last thing they need so I just want to make sure they get it.

ur very welcome. i totally understand. thats what is frustrating to me as well.. that despite sending updated medical etc, and repeatedly asking them what other docs if any, they need, they keep saying its in AP. they dont even confirm if they need any other docs or why its in AP. then why ask for an updated medical?

also, their email to my wife saying her documents were forwarded to a consular officer who found them QUALIFIED, but case in still pending AP. now what does that mean? i have given up! i was so hopefuly that once my wife sends updated medical and ds230 etc, the visa will be issued soon, but now after 2 months of sending those things in and getting the same reply of AP and not seeing any updates on the website, i give up!

jklmo5,

You have come too far to give up hope now. I think it's good that the documents are QUALFIED, it must mean that the documents are done correctly. Continue to pray and have faith. 2 months does seem like a long time but in the world of AP it is short.

We are all nervous because of what they have done to soccer.player having him send in new medical and documents so many times. We must remember each case is different and that they give out visa's everyday.

Guys I need your advice as what to do at this point. I had my CR1 interview around middle of september 2012 and my last status update was on 31st dec 2012. I am really starting to get pissed off due to this Admin process thing. At interview i was asked to submit some additional tax returns of previous years of my joint sponsor which i did days later. Currently my latest update date is 6 feb and thats because i sent an inquiry email about my case to embassy and it changed exactly when i got their standard B.S. reply that it takes time bla bla bla and that if you dont get response from us 6 months from the day of this message contact us again.

I am a young freshly graduated doctor and I cannot join specialty training in pak as it holds no value over there and the more time I wait doing non training jobs over here the less my chances become of getting into a good training program over here. I absolutely dont understand their criteria of making ppl wait on admin processing. I and my wife are of same age. We both are doctors. We both are done with our studies and we both graduated from good repuitable colleges and are ready to start our professional lives and specialty training. My wife is a citizen and not GC so there shouldnt be anything like waiting for priority dates and stuff

My husband has been in AP for over 6 months. I know that is not long compared to some people, but for me its been like years. I check to see his case status daily and I am in the process of writing to our state Senators, hoping something might happen. But you know how they say, it wont happen till Allah will let it happen.

Thanks for the advice on Surah Quresh, I will do that. I have been trying everything. His family even has katams and keeps fasts for him hoping something might change. All we can do is pray to Allah.
