so do you think they will request a PCC and medical whenever they need it. i just have to wait for them to ask me for it right? will they do so? or is there anything i need to send them on my own knowing its expiring? or send them her passport so that it may act as a trigger towards her case?

how do you think i should advise them of her pregnancy? she is only in her initial months so hopefully not a problem towards travelling for another few months. do u suggest me emailing them and informing them?

have you seen or remember any cases where people have waited for them to ask for the passport to issue visa once AP is over? or is it better that i just send it in? also do you know if they email or call etc?

i should advise you that ever since i contacted my congressmans office 2 weeks back, my wifes case has been getting an update very regularly as per the website. and i checked with the congressman's office to make sure they hadnt made multiple inquires to case the update date to change and they said no they only made one 2 weeks ago. but ever since then, atleast the embassy has become a little active on her case. because earlier for almost 8 months there was very little activity. the website earlier showed one update in nov, then one in dec, then twice in jan. and then in the last 2 weeks, it has been updated atleast for 5 or 6 days straight thankfully alhamdolillah AMEEN. i hope its a good sign! would appreciate your answers! thanks!

All above responce from Ebass are correct, Have you tried to analyze the situation as to why your wife is in AP? most women do not spend more then a few months in AP and are given the visa. It might be the fact they dont have the Passport, Perhaps sending it back will triger the embassy to review your case and possibly request documents and issue VISA. Specially since she is close to her due date it might be advisable to update the forums you have submitted because she will need a visa for the baby to travel also.

I would also like to mention here that she is not in the mandatory AP, the one that goes back to Washington to the NVC, since i called NVC and they have no record of my case. they are doing the in house admin processing on her case where they request further documents and then have to review them and scrutinize them at the embassy through the consular officer himself. I dont think she is stuck in the mandatory AP with a federal agency involving name clearance etc.

You cannot do that over there. They wont let you in Diplomatic Enclave.

I am ready for peaceful protest against long, blind and with no deadline date AP system for pakistanis at any platform. This is is not only help for own-self but all the people and families, currently waiting or maybe had to wait in future.

thanks for your reply sn530. well i am guessing she is in AP because initially she was asked to provide more documents which we did april/may last year. and then she went into AP, and my guess is that it was just burried in a stack of files and not looked at. until recently when I got my congressmans office involved and if u read my above post in reply to eabbas, i mentioned that recently thank God there has been a regular update on the website, so hopefully they are looking at her case even if its not being worked on. I would also like to mention here that she is not in the mandatory AP, the one that goes back to Washington to the NVC, since i called NVC and they have no record of my case. they are doing the in house admin processing on her case where they request further documents and then have to review them and scrutinize them at the embassy through the consular officer himself. I dont think she is stuck in the mandatory AP with a federal agency involving name clearance etc.

I was intervied on 9-jan-2013 and after 10 min and alot of question i was told that my visa is approved and will recive passport in 2 week ... But i dint get it.... Then i ask to DOS they say my case is in AP... But when i chek my case on CAES web it says Visa issued and soon will be availabel for pick up udted date is getting change all the time on 10-jan-2013 then 17-jan-2013,23-jan-2013 and last 1-feb-2013..... Same answer on the web that visa has been issued but same answer from DOS that ur case is under AP... And when i ask Embassy by email they reply... You will recive a respons soon from courier servic....... But on 4 feb i got my passport with visa affix on it..... And beacuse of some reasons i was unabel to inform mh finacee and she ask from DOS on 4 feb abt my case and they agin told her that my case is under AP ..... Strange but true ... But i have my passport with me now with visa thanks abd best of luck to all of u who r in AP... MAY ALLAH help you

I just want to clarify to you that when AP is being done in Washington, it is not at the NVC it is done through the Department of State in Washington DC. The NVC is merely a clearing house where they verify documents to make sure you have all of the required paperwork and documents for the consulate stage, it is in New Hampshire, they have nothing to do with a case that is in AP, that is why they don't have a record of your case being there, they haven't had your case since it was sent to the consulate. When I wanted updates on my husbands"mandatory AP" I called the DOS number and they were able to give me information. I pray daily for all of you here who have had to endure such long journeys.
