Most AP cases resolved within 6 months but when ap take more than 6 months then there is no time frame, let me know ur interview date,

Yes it is ok to contact your senator for help. I used my congressman's office and they would contact the embassy every month for me.

Hey anumj dont be stress,

you are safe,as i told u before that most ap cases resolve within 2 or 3 months like amjad approved in 68 days,emran+farah and hunk also approved very soon,and omer interviewed at 17 jan had approved may be get his visa today.

ins sha Allah u will be approved soon,plzz pray for us waiting from a long time.

Of course we need visa not update but i am happy to see status update means that some working on our case.

Does the status update change when the embassy sends you an email telling you that you are still in AP?

I received an email from the embassy today and my status update now says January 30th.

Mine also changed to 30th jan..when u send email about inquiry about ur visa when they check ur email update date automatically changed

Oh really, they would get u updates every month, was there any progress in ur case each time ur congressman contacted them? Does your congressman contact them on their own every month or do u have to send a request all the time?

No there was no progress in my case when the congressman would contact them. We were in AP for 16 months. I had to call each time I wanted my congressman to contact the embassy.

My H1B Case is in AP after Reaffirmation from USCIS.

Its more than 7 months. and there is no record for my case at https://ceac.state.gov. when ever i try it tell me the case creation date which is date before my interview. 24th july 2011

there is no harm to contact / remind again and again the embassy as well as the senator. But most of times what happen inside the embassy no body know but only the ALLAH. Keep praying for your husband and others such as salman, omer, eabbas and soccer player, and others also
