Hi everyone. I need advice. My petitioner involved Congressmen in our case as we were not updated after interview since 17th July, 2012. The good news was that on 24th September, 2012 we were responded so nicely by our congressman that the visa had been approved and will be with me within a week's time. But it has been past a week and I just tried getting through the DOS which still say that the case is under AP.

What should I do now? Wait wait wait? or any other better advice?

Dont worry may be its on final stage or consular officer review your documents....but not print visa at passport...so Gud Luck.

DOS always said still pending.they dont have say any thing until anless visa is issue.

Just track your passport at american express website.

O ok we just sent an email to the congressmen.

Actually we got a forwarded email by congressmen representative which showed a follow up that the visa for the petition filed had been approved. So i just felt confused why DOS would say that it is still in AP. Anyways will update as we get response.

simply put like sunny said above, update at DOS is slow and you will probably get the update when they have already sent the visa.

Update on my case guys my wife interview was on 24 August 2012 and was put on 221g.I wrote to my senator and called DOS twice since then. Yesterday she received the call to pick up her passport I just called DOS and they said congratulation visa was issued September 27.I just want to say that you guys had been a great help throughout this process I appreciated everything you guys have helped me in and Allah app sub ka visa MOULA HUSSAIN A.S. ke SUDKE MEIN juld se juld laga ke dey .Thank you.

i need to know that any one help us by telling us that what documents do we need more for evidence as we have the following ready:

1. emails
2. call logs
3. skype log
4. money changer receipt (he send me money every month and then i go to change currency into rs)
5. affidavit of those people who attend our marriage one of his relative from USA and other from london
6. there passport copy in which the date were mention that they visit and attend our marriage
7. our honeymoon pics
8. the cards which he send me
9. affidavit of my family members that our marriage has relationship and we use to exchange gifts
10. pictures of his relative which i go and meet with him.
11. gifts which his family members send me
12. pics of our marriage and engagement.
13. letter form both of us in which we mention that when we meet how we meet ,how our relation build ,how we decide to marry,when he visit to pakistan first time i mean on our marriage,and how we spend time when we meet for our honeymoon.
14. his passport copy,ticket ,his even boarding card,my ticket ,my boarding card.

now tell me what else do you think we miss and must send as evidense.

Congratulations!!! I've been calling up my congressman as well. Should I write to the senator now as my congressman said that the visa is issued and neither the embassy has responded yet nor do DOS have information about the update and still say it is under 221g

Congratulations! to both you and Syed.....

Sometimes they run a quick check again after they issue/print the visa... it may only be a few more days but I would contact your congressman if it goes over another two weeks.
