Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that on August 1, 2012 I wrote a letter to President Obama about my case. I made sure to give him our names and case number. His office forwarded my letter to the Department of State and I got their reply today. They gave me a history of our case and said our petition was reaffirmed and sent back to Islamabad Embassy and received there on June 28th, 2012. Right now our case is currently pending under Section 221(g) of the INA.

I wasn't sure what date our case made it back to the embassy so they gave me some information I didn't know. It made me feel better to write to the President and see what their response would be. So don't be afraid to write to the President you might just get some important information about your case.

Two really good resources that have a relationship with Pakistan right now are Obama and Hillary... If you can communicate to either one of there office you will eventually get a responce.. if they plan not to do anything, you will still get a reply but it will be one standardized reply saying how busy the president is and what he is doing for the United states and best interest of other countires.

Caroline I think you will get some sort of activity now on your case since its high on the radars, generally when it gets escalated to this point. now is a good time to follow up with a letter explaining the hardship you may be suffering due to the distance and economicall impact it is having on you without the presense of your significant other. State the facts and do not go overboard.
