Hi I was wondering if anyone can give any advice/guidance for my fiance and I. He has just submitted all the paperwork to the Chicago lockbox for a K3 visa, we are now going to be awaiting for our I-797 to be returned before submitting the next lot of paperwork. Does anyone know about how long this will take? I am of course desperate to go and be with my husband and was just wondering if anyone also knew the average timeline of the visa processing times from submitting the inital forms to me receiving the visa in my passport?

Also if we wanted to follow up to see if the paperwork had been recieved or anything, how would we do that? Or do we just wait for them to get in contact with us?

Thanks for any advice you can give :)

Sorry but you will never be approved for a spousal visa if you are not married.

Filing for a K-3 is also going to cost you more and longer processing than a CR-1.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Sorry I am used to calling him my fiance and not my husband yet, we are married, we got married on 13 October this year. How much longer do you believe the CR-1 visa can take?

This isn't a fake thread at all, this is just an extremely nervous woman worrying about her visa. He has been my fiance for quite a few months so apologies for calling him that and not my husband, he is actually my husband. And this is my first time on this website and I believe I have just updated my timeline

There is not alot of data on the K3 timelines.

People do not finish the timelines they start so data is not good.

So, I have the data from CR-1 which looks about the same as K3

Looks like you will wait an average of 8 months to 1 year

200-275 days

K3s are rarely issued anymore even though they are still listed as an available option. Go for the CR1.

You will receive a receipt notice and your check will be cashed. That's how you know it was received. Don't waste your time filing any second petition. K3 hasn't saved any time since November 2006 and has been virtually unavailable since February 1, 2010. Click on the word GUIDES at the top of any page here and carefully study the CR1/IR1 guide for your next steps. Right now, you're in a black hole until the petition comes out the other side several months from now.
