question about sending "packet 3"

I called the US Embassy on September 20, 2006 and they received the paperwork. They also gave me the interview date of my spouse, which is November 14, 2006.

My wife hasn't received anything yet, but should she go ahead and send "packet 3" to them? I ask because she already has the interview date and I don't know if the K-3 process is different than the K-1 process.

And I assume "packet 3" contains a copy of her passport, passport photo, DS-230, and DS-2001?

Thanks!

Well, I just called the US Embassy in Rio. Since it is K-3 status, the interview date was already set. Therefore, I do not need to send "packet 3." All I need to do is bring all the required documents to the interview.

Just some information to know for those in K-3 status...
