Since you are deleting a post "bordering on asking about illegal activity and one quoting same," why did you leave JimVaPhouong's post advising the OP to destroy evidence that materially affect the OP's naturalization?

So I ask again, does the rule against giving advice to commit an illegal act only apply to some but not to others?

The poster of the borderline post asked the mods to remove it. Personally, I do not think it needed to be removed, as the poster did not know what they asked about was potentially illegal until it was pointed out, but it is VJ policy to remove posts upon poster request unless there are unusual circumstances. My interpretation of Jim's post is that he wasn't advocating anything illegal, he was recommending a correction be made to documents.

The question on the N-400 is very clear - "Have you ever claimed to be a U.S. citizen (in writing or any other way)?". Emphasis on "ever" is on the N-400 and is not mine.

Why destroy the I-9 when the applicant has to answer truthfully on the N-400? The reasonable conclusion is to destroy the evidence to conceal that the applicant claimed to be a US citizen in writing. How is that not advising someone to commit an illegal act?
