Ok I'm not really sure If I'm doing a k3 or the CR-1 or what,i know it's a spouse visa but my sisters doing all the work since she's done this before so I'm not really sure which visa it is,but I don't think it should matter for my question.ok here goes,I'm only 17,I saw there are no age requirements for all of the forms except the affiidate of support thing, which you need to be 18 to do,I turn 18 in 8months,so can I just do the entire process and then wait until I'm 18 to sign the support papers?I heard there are multiple processes, and I can do all of the other steps until the last form which I need to be 18 for,so after I'm 18 can I just sign those and be done?

Are you a USC? If yes, then you must be 18+ years to sign the I-130 form.

Only the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who filed a

Form I-130 relative visa petition for a family member, may

complete this form. A sponsor is required to be 18 years old

and domiciled in the United States, its territories or

possessions (see Step-by-Step Instructions for more

information on domicile).

Yes I am a us citizen, and yes I was referring to the I-130,let me rephrase my question, I am turning 18 in 8 months so I'm completing the entire process now;filling out all of the forms and sending them, except the I-130,I'm waiting until I'm 18 to sign and send the I-130.Is it ok that I'm filling out all the other forms when I'm still 17?I'm just trying to make the process quicker, and the other forms don't have age requirements so I'm assuming everything I'm doing is ok right?or will I be denied just for begining at 17?I shouldn't I'd think because the other forms don't have an age requirement, and I'm waiting until I'm 18 to finish up and send the I-130 so I don't think ok doing anything wrong right?

Some countries in the USA do not recognize marriage to a minor under 18. So I think you need to do some research and see what age people can marry in your state. If it is 17 without parents consent then you should be able to petition him now. The problem will be waiting at NVC till you turn 18 to sign the sponser paperwork 864. So if your petition goes thru USCIS in 5 months then you will have to wait 3 months and sign it on your 18th birthday and send it in.

Do some research cause this can be a very tricky subject

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS
