Is it possible to receive green card before EAD?

We received notice that our interview is January 17. She still hasn't received her EAD card, will she definitely get it before the January interview or is there a chance she will never need it because she will get her green card first? Thanks

10-4-2010: Married in NYC

10-17-2011: Sent in I-130, I-485 Packets

10-21-2011: Package received by USCIS

10-28-2011: Received I-797 forms for I-130, I-485, I-765

11-9-2011: RFE received for missing medical exam

11-22-2011: Biometrics

11-28-2011: Civil Surgeon medical exam

11-30-2011: Sent medical exam for RFE

12-5-2011: RFE received by USCIS; Case sent to NBC

12-15-2011: Interview set for 1-17-2012

12-28-2011: EAD card received

1-17-2012: Interview at NBC- Approved!

Go figure. if you have your GC you do not need an EAD or AP.

I had the same question. My interview is scheduled for January 19, but I haven't received any updates on my EAD or AP. I had the biometrics appt on December 2. Everything is moving a lot faster than I was expecting. I sent the package in on October 29.

09-17-2011 Married

10-29-2011 AOS Packet sent (I-130,I-485,I-765, I-131) via USPS Priority mail

10-31-2011 Package delivered via USPS tracking

11-02-2011 Received Text/Email that all 4 apps were accepted/Checks cashed

12-02-2011 Biometrics appointment

01-19-2012 Interview (approved!)

June 7, 2011 - case number assigned, petition sent to US consulate in Bucharest
June 27, 2011 - interview - approved
June 30, 2011 - POE Boston
August 14, 2011 - married

AOS journey
September 30, 2011 - filled for AOS and EAD
October 4, 2011 - NOA1
October 26, 2011 - Biometrics
October 26, 2011 - Case moved to CSC
November 23, 2011 -Email from USCIS - card production
November 28, 2011 - Email from USCIS - I485 approved!!!
November 29, 2011 - Welcome letter in the mail
December 5, 2011 - Green card in the mail - date issued 11/16/2011

Lifting Conditions

September 17, 2013 - Sent application

September 20, 2013 - NOA1

October 11, 2013 - Case moved to CSC

October 18, 2013 - Biometrics

January 3, 2014 - Approved
