Okay so I am compiling my I-129F and I am going insane right now because I am double checking and I keep coming on here to read everything and I see things that will be needed in the future. I just want to make sure I don't need them now. Can someone please look over what I have so far and tell me if I am missing anything.

1) G-1145

2) Cover Letter

3) Check for $340

4) I-129F Form

5) G-325A (Petitioner)

-Passport-like Photo

-U.S Citizen Letter of Intent to Marry

-Birth Certificate

-Passport Frontpage

6) G-325A (Beneficiary)

-Passport-like Photo

-Fiance Citizen Letter of Intent to Marry

- Birth Certificate (native and translated w/ verification of translator)

7) All Evidence Pertaining to Meeting and Further Interaction

-Photos

-Chat Logs

-Phone Records

-Plane Ticket

-Passport Stamp

My main concern is that I see forms: I-134, DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, DS-158, and DS-230. I am unsure about which of these need to be sent with this package, if any. The I-134 Affidavit of Support, does this need to be filled out and turned in with the I-129F? Would it hurt if I sent it with anyway? The DS-156 concerns me because you cannot save a copy of this and it almost looks like it must be filled out with the consular. Would it hurt or help if I sent all of these anyway? Any explanation these forms and anything I am missing will be much appreciated. I cannot wait to go through all of this so I can help people in the future too. Thanks so much!!

Hello when I look at your package I think you shoul be fine It looks Complete, also think about previous marriages(divorse papers) point 12, 13 and 14 in I-129F guide.

http://www.visajourn...content/k1guide

12.Copy of final Divorce Decree(s) or Certificate(s) for the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) if either has been previously married. If the previous marriage of the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) ended due to the death of their spouse then include a Copy of Death Certificate(s) documenting that fact.

13.Proof of Legal Name Change if either the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) is using a name other than that shown on the relevant documents. You must give USCIS copies of the legal documents that made the change, such as a marriage certificate, adoption decree or court order.

14.In regards to Section C Question 2, if applicable provide certified copies of all court and police records showing the charges and dispositions for any specified conviction(s) (in accordance with the IMBRA). See section 9 of the I-129f instructions for more information.

You should also look at point 4 in I-129F guide.

http://www.visajourn...content/k1guide

4.Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years. This should be a single typed page attachment regarding question 18 of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it.

All the other form are for the next step in your proces, the interview at the consulate so don't worry about it B-)

Good luck with your Journey

The I-134 is affidavit of support which you will have to present at your interview, so no, you dont have to send it, the DS156 and DS 156K are also forms that the beneficiary has to file and present for the interview, the DS 157 is for that time too for the people that are required to file that specific form. :) Just follow the guide that VJ has and the check list to make sure you have all in order, the las things you said you were attaching to show that you two have meet in the last 2 years are good. Good luck!!

In addition to all the information already given, which was great advice, good.gif

You only need the Birth Certificate of the USC for the petition. You don't need chat logs at this point, though they (the beneficiary) will want to bring it with them to the interview. Unless you want to front load. In that case,I would not put many pages. One or two pages may suffice. I personally sent in one or two pages of phone records to front load, but not all of them. Again, not necessary for some countries.

Good luck :D Just make sure to sign everything and date them. I seen many people around the forums get an RFE for forgetting one little signature or forgetting to check one little box.

Okay great!

Thanks for pointing out the declaration of meeting in person from Section 18!

Thanks everyone for replying so quickly, I feel much more comfortable that I have everything I need. I can breathe again. :P

If I wanted to prepare all the forms for the next step (all the ones I mentioned below) am I able to fill all of these out myself and print them? Such as the DS-156, where it cannot be saved. The problem is, my fiance will not be able to obtain these forms and fill them out accurately without me. So I would like to have them signed and prepared in advance when I go see her in one week.

WHAT ! This is a simple 129-F Petition. There is No DS- This or that involved. That Financial ####### is asked later. This is a Simple Petition and everyone does it.

I see 2 or 3 wrong OP.

1. You said the front page of your Passport. No, COVER TO COVER in Color. Reasoning is: Who knows where you traveled with that Passport is what they might think.

2. One Passport Style Photo of each of you attached to the 325-A. I suggest 2 of each of you.

3. Plane Ticket, No.. Boarding Passes and the Plane Ticket also.

4. Motel Reciepts, Meals, ETC.

5. She should also supply (though not required a Passport in Color Cover to if you can.

6. As other posts indicated, being free to Marry. Obtain Signed, Dated Documents.

Good luck with this.

Passport is not cover, it is front page. It is only for verification that I am a citizen, that is why it clearly states in the instructional from the USCIS to use a passport or a Birth certificate, I am giving both to be absolutely safe. Once I have any stamps in my passport (which I don't) i will use that for evidence that I went to visit her, along with traveling info of course.

You are way ahead of yourself. Your are doing a 129-F. And as far as thinking a Birth Certificate is the Same as a Passport. ??? I'm so happy you know what is best and submit it as is then. You will have to update all this later.

The Beneficiary Only has to Prove she has a Heartbeat and is alive at the interview. Your doing a 129-F. All that proof is later.

I know this already, What I am asking is for information regarding those forms because My fiance is not capable of filling these out herself and compiling them accurately. I am going to see her in 1 week. With me, I am bringing all the paper work she needs to sign. When I get home I will then send in my I-129F. I will not be able to return to see her to help her fill out the forms for the next step. So I would like to bring them with me now so that she can sign everything she needs to and at a later date I will compile all the paper work she needs for the interview and send them to her. That is why I am thinking ahead.

Letter of Intent to Marry Upon her Arrival withing 90 days in the USA

However, I you choose not to listen about Cover to Cover Passports, Choose to not listen about sending more than one Passport Photo of each of you attached to each 325-A then do that. (Send 2) And get extras for later in the Process.

Even VJ for a 129-F does not tell you to send all this ####### for a 129-F Petition.

PS. Have fun and take pictures and save reciepts on your trip.

Color Copy of passport cover to cover is strongly advised. go to office depot etc and make several copies cover to cover. It can also establish you were there in her country to meet. ALL PAGES , even the blank ones.
