Hi,

I had my AOS interview last week in Dallas field office.

I was prepared as much as i can and was really nervous.

I was called by IO exactly on time i have an appointment. First she took oath and ask for passports n Id to make sure about our identification.

Then she asked all information from my wife that we filled in forms like the names she used, addresses, any kids v have, first marriage etc.

Then she asked me all those questions too and asked how v met and how v decided about marriage.

Then she asked to show whatever v want to show to proof this marriage is not fake. I provided a photo album, bank accounts, auto insurance, cards exchanged, emails sent, emergency contact etc.

She didnt ask for our birth certificates or marriage certificates throughout neither i gave her anything, however she pulled my i 94.

In the end she told me that they gonna review n do background check and if they want anything thy gonna mail us, otherwise if thy dont want anything thy gonna mail us the decision.

Although the interview was quiet smooth as she didnt asked any critical questions or didnt stick to anything specifically but i am still worried that is it a approved interview !!!

I m also worried because she didnnt asked for marriage certificate and i also forgot to show the rings as a proof we had in our hands.

Please help and tell me what should i do and what u guys think about this scenrio.

Any comment or help will b appreciated

Thanks.

Did the immigration officer give you any acknowledgement letter after the interview? During my interview the immigration officer discuss to me the conditional greencard status. She also asked me to sign this Notice to Conditional Permanent Residents acknowledgement form. On that day too, I got a text and email notification about my case that it was approved.

Thanks for replying !

The officer neither dicussed anything abt conditional green card nor she make me sign anything.

She just told us that if they will need anything else they r going to inform us by mail otherwise they gonna send decision by mail.

I hope everything is fine :(

Don't stress about it. It sounds perfectly normal. Not every IO gives approval on the spot. Just hang tight and you'll hopefully have your approval shortly.
