Here is a link that tells you what may be going on with this. Some countries, which have a reputation for high fraud, are subject to AR or AP. Sometimes countries that are not get the same extra scrutiny. All you can really do is wait it out.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

some applicants are subjected to background checks based on their countries and history from that region. Once after the interview they put the case for such processing and dig into their database until they are satisfied ( layman's terms)

I feel ur pain and frustration (Check my profile). As previously stated, this begs for lots of patience b/c you really can't push. My Congressman AND Senator have both written to the embassy and they got the same response - each case requires a different amount of work and they'll do their best to finish processing in a timely manner - in a nutshell!! It is very trying. Just don't give up on each other and keep the communication alive. Hang in there and hopefully nobody else has to wait as long as i've been waiting.

Good Luck!!

Did they ask for further documents?

Did you read the OP carefully? He says he was told they have everything.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It's a catch-all term. For a male coming from that region of the world, you can conclude that they are doing the additional extensive security checks that are expensive and time consuming. They don't do them unless they are otherwise ready to issue the visa. If you were told there were no problems, that's the answer.

Aside, the OP's timeline indicates only an I-130 was filed, (No I-129F for spouse filed) so this would be a CR1 or IR1 visa, not K3.

yes they wanted our marriage paper from his township.. which he got and brought back the same day.. within 2hr's of them asking for it.. they gave him a ticket and told him to come back on that Thursday, when he did they didn't know why he was there and told him they would contact him by email. I called the DOS and they told me our case was in administrative review.

Did they ask for further documents?

Thank you so much for this link!! the only thing is the embassy and the DOS both said there are no red flag's and see nothing wrong with the case so I don't understand why we are in administrative review.. but I will use this link to hopefully get some answer's.. thank's again

They may tell you there are no red flags, and that your petition is fine, but that doesn't mean that they won't put your case into review all the same. As far as they can tell, from what they see in front of them that may well be true, but they will still do name checks and the like.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
