Hi all ,

I am in the first familiy preference category (F1)

january ,I had an interview at the consulate ,during the interview the officer told me about the january retrogression ,that was when I found out I am it real trouble :) ,the officer gave me a paper ,the paper title is Refusal Worksheet ,this worksheet has 7 options that the officer should mark one ,according to applicant's visa refusal evidence, the option that officer marked for me is "priority date not current",at the end of the worksheet there is a warning note ,quote"If you fail to take the action requested within one year following visa denial under section 221(G) of the immigration and nationality act,section 223(G) of the act requires that your application be cancelled" ,but i am not informed about any actions ,I am confused can anyone help me about this ?

That letter basically just means they can only keep your application open for a year before they have to cancel it. If your priority date doesn't become current within a year then the visa application is cancelled, and you'll have to file a new visa application (along with the fees) when your priority date finally becomes current. You don't have to take any action in the meantime.

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
