What does it mean when people say they are "touched". How will i know? :unsure: please advice.

This is my theory on touches:

As your paperwork goes through the system you will see some date changes when tracking your case. These date changes usually means that someone who is doing the paperwork is touching your package. if anyone knows more please reply.

As stated above a "touch" is when someone at USCIS has been working on your file ... The only way to know if you got a touch is when you log into your Case Status on the USCIS website if your "Last Updated" date has changed then that means it was touched ... A touch doesn't by any means indicate an approval but atleast it lets you know they have been looking at your file ...

08-05-06 - Married in Sycamore IL

AOS / EAD
08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)
11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)
