Hi everyone! My application for AOS/EAD/AP will be 3 months next week, and my EAD/AP hasn't been approved yet. Has anyone waited this long for it to be approved? If so, what did you guys do? USCIS told me to call again if I'm not approved the next week. After waiting for 3 months, how much longer do I have to wait for it to be approved? I just want my EAD/AP so that I can start looking for a job. I know my AOS will take longer. Thank you guys!

Since you already know that AOS will take much longer than 3 months for approval,

3 months waiting for EAD/AP is not unusual.

It is usually deendant on the local service center. My husband AOS'd 3 months after another coulple we know, but thanks to a county line in the 10 miles between us , ours arrived 2 weeks before theirs. Check the times for your local center.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

From the USCIS website:

If your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, has been pending more than 75 days, you may contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 and ask that an Approaching Regulatory Timeframe “service request” be created. The NCSC will route the service request to the appropriate office for review. Please have your receipt number ready when contacting the NCSC.

See http://www.uscis.gov/i-765 and the link to that info is on the right of the page under Related Links.

My husband's EAD took 4 months to arrive. We live in a very tourist oriented place that is shutting down now and won't be active again until March. Sooooo even though he is authorized to work, there are no jobs for him. Hard on me, but he loves his very extended vacation.

I knew that the AOS might take a long time, and my only consolation was that the EAD/AP will arrive soon, just so time won't be wasted. Now, my EAD/AP is still not here, and it's almost 3 months. I called USCIS and they put in a service request, then a couple days later, I got a letter stating that I should hear something from them in 60 days. 60 DAYS!!! Damn it!

What is their phone number? I need to check on mine too.
