Welcome! Yeah, he probably had to have 14 days left on his i-94 just like SSN. Sorry about that though, he can still use his passport as ID until getting EAD. The State-ID(and whatever license he was to apply for) would only have been valid until the i-94 expired anyway. You could try a walk-in regarding biometric appointment. Not sure if it'll even speed up the process but it's good to have done it and on with the next steps.

When did you guys file for AOS?

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

I did our biometrics and if you are applying for an EAD you have TWO case numbers to write down, not just one. We missed it and the clerk filled it i for us, in red. If it escapes and is not completed then you may need to go back for another.

I have a biometrics appointment for 2 feb.

I have noticed some people just walk-in and do not wait for the appointment.

is this advisable?

I did mine walk-in but honestly I would haven't done it if my husband could get a day off on my biometrics appointment day. But it seems like lots of people do walk-ins.

Same here, my EAD and 130 haven't been touched since December. Interview on the 27th of Feb.

I had I765 case before. Nothing is going to change in your status. Once they approve it it will say Card Production. So don't expect much. I'm sure you will get it soon. I have my biometrics appointment tomorrow. I'll try to do both (I-485 and I765) since they came as separate appointments. EAD takes 60 days so it is still early to be approved. Also non my applications have been touched since the day I got my NOA's. Also online case check is really unreliable.

December 11 - AOS Package Sent To Chicago Lockbox
December 14 - Package Received By USCIS
December 23 - Email Confirmation Received
December 27 - Checks Cashed
December 27 - NOA's In My Mailbox

February 6 - Interview Letter in Mailbox (Online status hasn't changed since December 24th)
