At the AOS interview they ask if you have received food stamps or other aid. I'd like to see if anyone said yes and if it had any effect. The question comes up now and then.

i have WIC, had temporary (30 days) medicaid and emergency medicaid.. i'm afraid they are going to ask me about it..

knight_tz thank you for asking :)

Approved!it was so painless.. after almost a year of not being able to find a joint sponsor i can't believe the process itself was so fast and easy.

we arrived about 40mins early so i had time to feed my newborn to make sure she is happy and asleep during the interview. apparently she had a different plan and stayed awake all the time and didn't go to sleep till after we left the building. IO called my name and my husband asked if he had to go too. IO said something like "well, you can come back". I guess i was so paranoid about the kids being with us that i understood it like "reschedule and come back without kids". of course my 5yrs old couldn't behave himself but oh well.. the officer told us that since we have a baby together, he was not going to go through our marriage and would only ask me yes/no questions. he also asked us simple questions like phone number, if we still lived at the same address and if my husband worked the same job.

he took my i-94 and copy of baby's birth certificate (and i brought 2 thick folders with documents!!).

at the end of my short interview the IO told me that i did a great job filling the paperwork. better than most attorneys. and that it was very easy to review my case! (i was pretty sure that my applications are a big mess and i would get couple RFE's :bonk: ).

since we have a kid already it's most likely that we won't have an interview for ROC but still we need to have other proof of bona fide marriage.

it was so fast and easy that i still can't believe it's over for 2 years..

thanks for everybody's support! congrats to those who got their GC's and good luck to those who are still waiting for their interviews.

Congrats to all the recent approvals!!

Still no news for us on either EAD or the interview letter... getting really anxious... I have a great job lined up IF my EAD gets here before the 19th...

We called USCIS on friday and the friday before, talked to a tier 2 person, and got the same answer every time... "it looks like everything is processed its just pending the decision" well, make a freaking decision, PLEASE!!!

Sorry... just needed to vent a little...

We haven't had any issues after the change of address... nothing has been sent back to USCIS as undeliverable since the beginning of January, they actually called to make sure they were sending stuff to the right address (who knew they'd actually care?), so that's not the problem anymore at this point...

it just sucks that that delayed everything so much...
