For the children present, I will remind you that the 1980 election was considered "to close to call" the day before Reagan mopped the floor with Carter.

What happens in these polls is that the "undecideds" later go to the challenger 83 to 17 percent. It means that if Obama "leads" 45 to 41 in this poll, he loses the election by 52-48%. People are not "undecided" about Obama, they may be undecided about the Republican, or which Republican...there are a lot to choose from at this point but only ONE Obama. The ratio of undecides going for the challenger goes back to the early 70's possibly sooner.

Obama is in seriously trouble and he knows it. Even if Kool Aid drinking Dems do not.

Bottom line is that if the economy does not improve, really improve, not the unemployment numbers dropping becuse they stop counting 300,000 unemployed people, and 100,000 got a job at Walmart for the holidays, then Obama will lose.

Yet to be seen. If you ask me Mr. O started his campaign soon, but he is scared because he is not stupid like people who think he can't lose. He should have pulled the last troops out next October
