Hi everyone

Know this is a bit of an odd question, but our USCIS case status states that on the 8th December they transferred our AOS application to another office for processing and sent us a notice to advise us of where it's gone to. As of today, we've still not received any notification in the post and I'm a bit confused as to what to do (if anything?). I've got my biometric appointment next week, so am a bit surprised they transferred it so quickly. Has anyone else had this and not received notification for a week or so? I don't think it's worth chasing USCIS but, at the same time, don't know if anyone else's experiences are that this is generally a transfer to CSC (particularly given our NOA1 was only dated 17th November) or a local office, and if I do need to contact USCIS to ask them what's going on.

Thanks

Hello Ellesse,

I got transferred to the California Service Center on the 26th October 2011 and it took me well over a week to receive my transfer notice in the mail. You may also receive an email when the case has arrived at the Center. Like you I also got transferred before my biometrics appointment, two weeks before in fact. I don't think you have anything to worry about, just sit tight!

Good luck with your journey!

You don't need to do anything, you just sit and wait for an approval after your biometrics.

Thanks Nich-Nick. Typically, the letter came through today that, yes, we've been transferred to the CSC.

Thanks everyone for your replies - I appreciate it.

There is a possibility yes. But it can also be transferred back to the local office for interview.
