Some that are scammers and have their non Nigerian fiance/spouse sending them money will actually botch the interview on purpose because they don't to be in the US with the USC. They are using the income stream to build a better life while it lasts. They purposely pick someone that has a hard time travelling so they can carry on their Nigerian life without getting caught for as long as possible. It is this sort of scum that causes the embassy to doubt everyone.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
