It was very smooth and short..The interview itself took around 5 to 10 minutes tops..Thanks to everyone that helped..

Stu....Congrats!

But, who are you? Can you edit your timeline? I have been studying this site for 6 months and I never seen you.

Thank you for the update.

I would like to know how long did they say you would receive your visa? 1-2 weeks. And please come back and tell me when you get the visa. Was it for a wife or husband in Egypt?

People from November interviews are still waiting for their visas and they were told 1-2 weeks after they turn in extra documents

Did they need any further documents from you?

Please edit your timeline to show

Date 130 sent

Date 130 accepted

Date 130 approved (NOA2)

Date NVC received

Date NVC completed

Interview date

Visa recived

Just put in dates as close as you remember. The most important dates are the date 130 was SENT and Interview date.

Thank you so much. And enjoy USA!!!

I'm sorry..I was never really active on the site..lemme see if i can answer your questions

The NOA1: november 2010

NOA2: April 2011

NVC got the paperwork in: May 2011

NVC closed the case in: August 2011

NVC sent interview date: November 4th, 2011

Interview date: December 14th, 2011

The interview was for me. The CO only asked three questions..I didn't go with my wife and i dont think i needed to anyway. At the end of the interview she said "Congratulations, Your visa has been approved. You will get it in 7 days."

They didn't need anything.. I took all the paperwork with me which i think you should do as well. They didn't ask to look at any evidence whatsoever. I was the first one in and the first one out. Be there as early as you can. There were probably hundreds of people today. So i suggest you get there by like 6 or 6.15 the latest

Let me know if you need any further information.

Stu

We got married in July of 2010 and she stayed with me in egypt for more than a year and then she had to leave because she's going to law school..We talk on the phone everyday..we skype..whatsapp..basically the whole nine yards..but i didn't print out any evidence other than some of our pictures and ofcourse the ones from the wedding.

Also, I hired a very solid lawyer in new york city that made the ride very smooth. Don't get all worked up. You'll be fine.

I'll let you know as soon as i get the Visa Insha'Allah.

I hope it goes well for you too..

By the way, The CO asked me these questions:

How did you meet your wife?

Is she also egyptian?

Is she currently in the states or here in egypt?

Do you have any children yet?

then she looked at the paperwork and smiled and that was basically it.

Everyone was very friendly. The egyptian lady that gave me the originals was hilarious so she made me feel very comfortable Thank God.
