I picked up my Passport in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada this morning and it was so exciting to get the welcome letter and to finally see the Visa in my Passport. I can hardly wait till February when I will make my point of entry. Just so everyone is also away I called the DOS yesterday and they say that my file is under AP and the Visa has not even been printed yet. The Visa was printed on December 8th. So the DOS does not always have the most accurate information nor do they have your file up to date. USA here I come in February!!!!!!!

You saw the visa in your passport? you opened it? Congrats on finally getting it! Thanks for varifying about DOS. They leave ya hanging with false information..should be illegal!!!!

The only thing you can't open is the envelope that you hand over at your POE. You're able to open/look in your passport. It's just pasted in there. :)

Yes my Passport had the welcome letter in it and the welcome letter was inserted into the page with the US Visa. I am still on cloud 9. After 11.5 months the journey is 1/4 done. Still have plenty left to do but it will all be worth it in the end. Thanks everyone for the congratulations.
