January 6th, Montreal Interview

My wife's interview was finally scheduled for the 6th of January at 8 AM.

I'll be bringing two photocopies of everything submitted (as I did submit originals where possible), her passport, photos, appointment letter, and medical exam results.

Should I start gathering anything else? Financial records? We don't have any shared accounts as the particular companies I deal with require social security numbers to add names to accounts, but I can put together evidence via credit card statements to show when I have visited her. We can also put together some photos of times we spent together. Do we need to do this? It doesn't say anything in the official instructions for Montreal in regards to this, but I wanted to double check.

Also, does anyone know what kinds of questions to expect?

I'm a bit nervous about this whole thing, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sincerely,

Scott & Christine "Kiki" Cushman

Basic questions, general questions, things any married person would know about their spouse.

No need to be nervous.

Saylin was 100% right, the CO has only asked my wife couple questions: how did we meet, when did I enter the USA as Green Card holder etc.

I've prepared a bunch of evidence: around 100 pages of Skype calls, 40-50 photos, different supporting docs (like my wife's credit card with the same number (of course I've whited it out ), bank statements etc) - nothing was taken or even asked for.

Don't know yet if my wife was returned with the pictures that I submitted with I-130 petition to USCIS .

Even the photocopies were not taken (it doesn't mean that you don't have to bring them to the consulate for the interview  ). The officer only grabbed originals, matched them with scanned copies (along with DS-260) and returned them to my wife. Even the financial originals were not taken to match with scanned I-864 package (again, you should bring originals to the interview).

My wife only has given pre-filled and signed (part I) of DS-230. And that was it.

Yeap, just relax, think about something more positive in your life and the interview would be peace of cake. Don't get stressed :D!

It's up to you - how much evidence to bring with you, my point is - better be prepared, rather than under.

Good luck !

Thank you for the advice!

Anyone have examples of questions? She's been getting nervous about the questions. We know a lot about each other, but I guess it's like the old test anxiety where you are worried that you might draw a blank.
