hi vj's i'm done with my tb test last saturday and came back to check my tb test reaction and it's 18mm and they refer me to the health department to undergo chest xray. just wanna ask if this is negative or positive? i really don't know im start to worried right now. though they told me it's fine and it doesn't mean i have tb. anyone can share with me their experience?

In countries where people get the BCG (or similar vaccines) , when the TB skin test reacts as positive, they give the chest x-ray to confirm that the patient doesn't actually have TB. It's normal. Nothing to worry about. A lot of people from warmer climates end up doing chest x-rays. That's how the CS explained it to me.

over 15mm is positive. This doesn't mean you have TB, it just meant that you have been exposed to TB sometime in your past OR you had the TB vaccine in your past. They will use the chest x-ray now to rule out if you have active TB or not.

Yes got mine too as 17mm and its positive but they let me go to city health department and the nurse told me I must undergo a 9 months treatment but its up to you if you will like it.. I have another xray and its negative... it will not affect the immigration purposes...I dont like it so nothing matters.. I have passed my AOS and finished biometrics..
