My POE was on november 16 through San fransisco airport. I went to the Social security office 6 days after and applied for my social security number. It was mailed to me shortly after. But still NO sight of welcome notice or greencard. I understand that it often takes people 6-7 weeks for a greencard. But the fact that I have not yet received a welcome notice worries me! When I called uscis they told me to call back on Thursday when its been 30 days. But Ive heard that they are for absolutly no help if I call..

So do I have anything to worry about? Is this normal? And if not, what can I do?

They probably told you to call back after 30 days because they could possibly put in a service request for you at that time. Document your calls to them and be sure to call back Thursday to see what they can do for you. The holidays tend to slow down the mail so be a little more patient and hopefully its on its way to you soon.
